    Man Utd 1-0 Leicester

As my colleague Shamoon says, Harry Maguire is getting a tough time of it from the away end, as he fouls Jamie Vardy inside the Leicester half.

But as expected, it means the Man Utd fans cheer even louder when their centre-back is in possession.

Fantastic penalty by Marcus Rashford. You just missed your last one in a game that cost you the points, desperately needed to score this one and he sends Kasper Schmeichel the wrong way. Hard, low, back of the net ripples.

Such a silly penalty to give away by Leicester City. Soyuncu just doesn't get there quickly enough. Rashford just gets a toe in and is upended.

Loud boos from the away fans everytime Harry Maguire gets on the ball. Not getting a warm reception from the travelling Leicester supporters.

    Man Utd 1-0 Leicester

Harry Maguire surges forward, to the delight of the Man Utd fans, before retreating in possession.

He plays it square to Scott McTominay who loses out to James Maddison by the dugout.

If Leicester are to claw their way back into this one, you feel their number 10 will be crucial.

    Man Utd 1-0 Leicester

Daniel James is proving to be a real livewire for his new club and Old Trafford is beginning to become expectant when he picks up the ball.

The winger cuts inside again and he delivers a dangerous cross into the box but it eludes everyone as the danger passes for Leicester.

That's four penalties in five games for Manchester United. Marcus Rashford's record is two successes from three. Paul Pogba missed against Wolves memorably.

Not sure who the options were but it seemed pretty certain Rashford was going to take that.

    Was it ever in doubt?

Marcus Rashford brushes himself off after winning the penalty to send Kasper Schmeichel the wrong way.

Manchester United have come storming out of the blocks and they deserve their early lead.

  8. PENALTYpublished at 6 mins

    Man Utd 0-0 Leicester

I told you this game had started at a blistering speed and Manchester United have a penalty.

Marcus Rashford is first to the loose ball and he is brought down by Caglar Soyuncu.

Manchester United have 21 games before Christmas, Leicester only have 15. Jamie Vardy having international breaks and keeping him fresh, I think there are a few things with Leicester where they could break into the top six.

    Man Utd 0-0 Leicester

This game has started at quite a canter!

Leicester pump the ball long and James Maddison wins the tussle with Victor Lindelof before swiveling and firing at goal.

David de Gea pulls off an accomplished save but that is just a warning for the hosts.

    Man Utd 0-0 Leicester

Andreas Pereira whips the free-kick over the wall and Kasper Schmeichel does brilliantly to palm the ball to saftey with a diving save to his right.

The Leicester keeper was slow off his line but reacted well.

    Man Utd 0-0 Leicester

The hosts are inches away from an early penalty.

Daniel James cuts inside and is chopped down just outside the area by Ricardo Pereira.

That has go the Old Trafford faithful up for it.

Harry Maguire's name was booed by the Leicester fans when it was read out over the tannoy just under an hour ago.

They have followed that up with a rather rude song about him, which basically ends with them telling their former centre-half they don't need him.

Fair to assume Manchester United's £80m central defender is yet to be forgiven for quitting the Foxes this summer.

A lot of people are tipping Leicester to come out on top at Old Trafford this afternoon, which is understandable given the respective clubs' recent form.

However, this does overlook Manchester United's impressive home record against the Foxes.

They have won nine of the last 10 meetings between the sides here, with the combined score 21-4.

The only time Leicester avoided defeat was in their Premier League title-winning season, when Wes Morgan scored the equaliser in a 1-1 draw.

  18. 'Man Utd's summer signings have been excellent'published at 14:47 British Summer Time 14 September 2019

Man Utd v Leicester (15:00 BST)

    BBC Radio 5 Live

Former Man Utd defender Wes Brown on the club's current back line: "It's going to take time. The two signings we made in the summer have been excellent. The manager is changing things round and a few players have gone. I'm sure he would have liked to have brought a few more players in.

"Since Harry (Maguire) and Aaron (Wan-Bissaka) have come in I think we can see it has got better. Aaron is a young player and has all the determination in the world. Harry is a bit more established, he has played a lot of games for Leicester and is an England international. You can see his calmness on the ball."

Lovely day for it here in Manchester, makes for a pleasant change.

Troubled United welcome unbeaten Leicester to Old Trafford, in a match dubbed by local roadsign operators as the "race for sixth".

A midfield that looks light already, the hosts are without Paul Pogba and Anthony Marital, with a doubt over the fitness of Aaron Wan-Bissaka at the back.

    Man Utd v Leicester (15:00BST)

Manchester United lost to Crystal Palace on their last Old Trafford appearance.

Even though their fortunes have not been great in recent times, the last occasion they lost consecutive home games in the Premier League was in March 2014, when they were beaten by Manchester City and Liverpool.
