  1. CLOSE!published at 57 mins

    Man City 6-0 Watford

Watford should be SEVEN down. Riyad Mahrez is found wide right, takes a touch and pulls the ball back at the near post for Sergio Aguero. He hits low and hard first-time across goal and it's just wide.

Seconds later Angelino crosses from the left and Aguero throws himself at it but it goes high and over. He was stretching but he was well placed.

Aguero should have scored about 15 today.

    Bernardo Silva

    Here we go again.

A cross to the back stick goes a bit long and when it comes back into the mixer, David Silva caresses the ball like it doesn't belong in a mixer and sweetly clips Bernardo Silva in behind, allowing Bernardo Silva to prod one home, low into the corner.

We are one goal away from brackets (BRACKETS). You get me?

The bookmakers are not expecting the second-half to be quite as spectacular as the first.

Their odds suggest City will add one or two more to their tally but that will be it for the day.

What that first-half performance has done is give City the edge over Liverpool in terms of goal difference, 15 to 11 so far.

And Pep Guardiola has introduced Angelino for his Premier League debut.

We are underway and there's one change. More on that shortly. Kyle Walker has a dig from 35 yards but it's a bit high and a bit wide.

  10. Uncharted territory for Sanchez Florespublished at 16:00 British Summer Time 21 September 2019

We’ve been asking you what the Watford half-time team-talk might be, but this is uncharted territory for Hornets boss Quique Sanchez Flores, in the Premier League at least.

His Watford side only conceded more than twice four times during the season he spent in charge of them in 2015-16, and they never shipped more than four goals in a single match, or more than three in a first half.

Mind you, they did manage 23 shots in the second half of their draw with Arsenal last weekend, and scored twice to rescue a point... so maybe this game is not over yet?

(I think we can safely say it is by the way!)

The biggest disgrace here is not the Watford defending but the fact Raheem Sterling is captain of my fantasy team and isn't on the pitch.

As the stats show, one-way stuff.

Had Gerard Deulofeu levelled at 1-1 who knows but that's small talk now. This has been a massacre.

Only six shots on target, five have hit the net.

  16. City fans enjoying a restpublished at 15:47 British Summer Time 21 September 2019

A strange atmosphere around the Etihad now. After seeing Manchester City score five goals in the first 18 minutes, the home fans are probably enjoying the chance to sit down and have a rest.

The odd chant of 'C'mon City' is still going around the ground, or a ripple of applause for a good pass, but the intensity has dropped in the stands too - not just on the pitch.

Quique Sanchez Flores has cut a dignified figure in the Watford technical area but inside he must be seething.

Manchester City are evidently a brilliant side but the ease with which they are cutting through the visitors defence is not great.

I think a few home truths are going to be delivered shortly.

Manchester City pinging balls around like a computer game here and Kevin de Bruyne's sumptuous cross is headed home by Sergio Aguero only for Ben Foster to paw it out. What a ball cross-field by Fernandinho in the build-up, by the way.

Anyway, in comes another cross and Bernardo Silva glances his own header wide.
