    Barnsley 0-0 Leeds

Leeds win a corner and the hosts have to defend it with 10 men as defender Aapo Halme needs treatment to a cut on his nose.

The Tykes stand up well to it though and manage to clear their lines safely enough.

  2. HALF-TIMEpublished at 12:46 British Summer Time 15 September 2019

    Huddersfield 0-1 Sheffield Wednesday

Steven Fletcher's header is the only goal of the half at the John Smith's Stadium.

Work for new Huddersfield boss Danny Cowley to do if the Terriers are going to spoil Garry Monk's first game in charge of Sheffield Wednesday.

    Huddersfield 0-1 Sheffield Wednesday

Sheffield Wednesday search for a second goal just before half-time, but Jacob Murphy's long-range effort flies wide of the target.

So far, so good for new Owls boss Garry Monk.

  4. Postpublished at 7 mins

    Barnsley 0-0 Leeds

Former Leeds man Mallik Wilks has the home side's first effort of note but his powerful shot is parried out by Kiko Casilla in the Leeds goal.

Very open start in this one.

Nearly a great start for the visitors as Jamie Shackleton plays Patrick Bamford in and home goalkeeper Brad Collins does well to keep his effort out.

Barnsley clear the resultant corner away.

  6. Postpublished at 37 mins

    Huddersfield 0-1 Sheffield Wednesday

And now a chance for the other Huddersfield full-back Flo Hadergjonaj, who heads Karlan Grant's cross straight at Keiren Westwood.

Great work by Grant to set it up, but the header at goal was a tame one.

Better from Huddersfield, but Wednesday are looking fairly comfortable.

    Huddersfield 0-1 Sheffield Wednesday

Left-back Terence Kongolo has Huddersfield's best attempt of the game, cutting inside and fizzing in a shot from outside the box which Owls goalkeeper Keiren Westwood turns away to safety.

A lovely move down Huddersfield's right side breaks down with a Sheffield Wednesday intervention, but there have been positive moments for the Terriers so far.

Results yesterday mean that Leeds will go back to the top of the Championship with victory at Oakwell today.

The Whites' unbeaten start to the season came to an end last time out when they slipped to a narrow home defeat by Swansea.

Barnsley started the season with an impressive home win over Fulham but they're without a win since.

With three former Leeds players in their starting XI today in the form of Aapo Halme, Alex Mowatt and Mallik Wilks they'll be desperate to get that second victory today.

Things don't seem to be getting any better for Stoke City, who remain bottom of the Championship table after losing to Bristol City on Saturday.

Potters manager Nathan Jones said afterwards that he hopes the club's board will remain patient with him as he tries to arrest their slide.

Elsewhere, leaders Swansea were beaten at home by Nottingham Forest and 16-year-old Jude Bellingham scored Birmingham's winner at Charlton.

    Huddersfield 0-1 Sheffield Wednesday

Huddersfield striker Fraizer Campbell hasn't had too much of the ball so far, but he has been exceptional in terms of chasing down and harrying Wednesday defenders in the first few minutes.

He's involved in a one-two with Terence Kongolo, who pokes his effort over the crossbar.

Sheffield Wednesday striker Steven Fletcher has scored in three consecutive league matches for the first time since a run of five between May and September 2012 for Wolves and Sunderland.

    He couldn't miss.

GOAL: Huddersfield 0-1 Sheffield Wednesdaypublished at 10 mins

    Steven Fletcher

Brilliant goal from Sheffield Wednesday - brilliant in its simplicity and its execution.

The ball is worked out to the left wing and Kadeem Harris, who bursts past his man to the byline and puts in a peach of a cross which is begging to be headed in by Steven Fletcher six yards out.
