The intensity seems to have gone out of the Liverpool press, so Leicester are able to find a few different gaps and holes and that's where James Maddison is going to come into his own.

Andy Robertson has space to build a tree house on the left. He cuts inside and plays a one-two with Mo Salah but his cross is cut out.

Roberto Firmino then brings down a long ball with a superb touch, turns and shoots but misses the far post by a yard.

Sadio Mane hassles and hassles, giving Ben Chilwell nowhere to go. But the full-back does really well to shield the ball and eventually wins a free-kick.

Brendan Rodgers has turned on his heel in disgust on a couple of occasions in this half as good territory or possession has been squandered.

Leicester City have acquitted themselves pretty well but simply have not posed enough threat.

Corner to Leicester and a rare chance to test Dejan Lovren and his teammates. Marc Albrighton is the one to win it, hitting it off Andy Robertson.

But James Maddison's corner doesn't do too much damage and Lovren coolly nods it away. Maddison makes up for it with an excellent swinging ball in a few moments later but Trent Alexander-Arnold is there.

Leicester pass their way nicely around the Liverpool front line but Marc Albrighton's pass it cut out by James Milner.

Jonny Evans picks up the loose ball and James Maddison switches it over to the left.

Oh, what a goal this would have been! Sensational one-touch passing from Mo Salah and Sadio Mane but Jonny Evans does just enough to put Mane off as he shoots.

It's inches wide. Half the ground thought it was in!

I think Jurgen Klopp has told Liverpool to go out and smell blood. They want to get out and get an early goal, just to settle them down.

Mo Salah's free-kick is straight at the wall and the Egyptian tries to follow-up it up with another cross.

Ben Chilwell is there to nod it away.

Mo Salah is pulled back by Caglar Soyuncu right on the edge of the box and he goes into the box.

This is decent free-kick territory too.

Marc Albrighton's cross is comfortably dealt with by Dejan Lovren, who just side-foots it down for Fabinho.

That's the first time in this half Leicester have got near the opposition box.
