Declan Gallacher has the ball in the back of the net after heading home a long throw, but referee Alan Muir decides that he pushed a Ross County defender before scoring. It looks soft and Motherwell probably should be in front.

Suddenly this game comes alive and it takes a big save from Aberdeen captain Joe Lewis to keep the score level.

Livingston race forward on the counter attack. Steven Lawless breaks free but Andrew Considine appears to hold him up on the edge of the box well.

But Lawless produces a clever back heel to put Scott Robinson one-on-one with Lewis, who does well to block his shot.

Despite having a Ross County defender breathing down his neck, he manages to turn and fire a shot towards the back post. It skids across the goalmouth unopposed and could have easily been tapped in if a team-mate had shown a little more initiative. Close for Motherwell.

Aberdeen try a training ground routine at a free-kick. Niall McGinn passes it short to Ryan Hedges, who plays a neat ball straight into the arms of Livingston goalkeeper Ross Stewart.

Might need a bit more work on that one. But at least the Dons have given the goalkeeper something to do.

Billy Mckay plucks a high ball out of the air in the Motherwell box and turns, getting a shot away as he falls to the ground. The striker turns to the referee with his hands in the air... nothing given.

It's not a lot happening at the Tony Macaroni Arena. There's no lack of attacking intent from both sides, but the defences have been so far on top that both goalkeepers have had nothing to do.

Firhill’s fabulous in this September sun, and a bright start for the hosts, with Dario Zanatta zipping in between a couple of Dunfermline defenders. At the other end, a glorious chance for Kevin Nisbet to put the Pars ahead on just five minutes, left in acres of space inside the Thistle area. His header though is parried away by Scott Fox in goal.

An interesting, psychic sidenote: the Partick programme already has this down as a one-all draw due, presumably, to some kind of mix up at the printers? Either that or they really do know something we don’t. Were I a betting man...

Another good opportunity for St Mirren. Junior Morias races down the left and crosses for Kyle Magennis in front of goal, but it's a tad too high for the midfielder.

The Jags’ chief executive Gerry Britton says he’s been inundated with applications for the vacant manager’s job by some "fine" candidates. They hope to have their man, and his backroom team, in place by next weekend but there’s no shortlist as yet, despite reports to the contrary elsewhere.
