A lot of you on Twitter seem to agree with me that it should have been a Watford penalty.

Does the Premier League need to change its VAR interpretation where there needs to be a really high bar for overturning a decision?

I think so. What's the point of having video technology if you end up making the wrong decision half the time.

There are some boos from Spurs fans as the half-time whistle goes.

Just thinking back to that Watford penalty appeal. I've got no doubt that if Chris Kavanagh had given the penalty, then the VAR team would have agreed with him.

The VAR team have a look and - surprise, surprise - don't change the referee's decision.

That really could have been a penalty. Lucky escape for Spurs.

Watford want a penalty. Gerard Deulofeu bursts into the box and goes past the sliding Jan Vertonghen. He goes over the defender's foot and goes down.

The referee says no.

Watford goalkeeper Ben Foster is definitely going to get booked for timewasting in this game. He takes an age over the goal-kick.

A decent spell of Spurs possession and Watford just hack it clear. A huge roar from the home fans, but now Serge Aurier fails to keep in a Harry Kane cross.

A few of Spurs' subs, including Son Heung-min, are warming up already. Mauricio Pochettino made seven changes today - only two were enforced.

The crowd roar as space opens up for Dele Alli with Daryl Janmaat further up the pitch. But this is a team short on confidence and Alli tries to find a team-mate, with Harry Winks failing to shoot.
