  1. Postpublished at 20 mins

    Sheff Utd 1-0 Burnley

Ohhh! Lys Mousset should have set up David McGoldrick for another there - on the right of the area, he looks up and drives the ball across goal, but it's too heavy a touch and yards in front of his team mate.

  2. goal

GOAL - Sheff Utd 1-0 Burnleypublished at 16 mins

    John Lundstram

Those flowing moves I mentioned? Here's another with the perfect result for the Blades!

David McGoldrick received Enda Stevens' pass down the left flank and slid the ball across the face of goal. Lys Mousset got a slight touch on it to divert the ball right into the path of John Lundstram, who placed the ball just inside the post!

  3. Postpublished at 15 mins

    Sheff Utd 0-0 Burnley

A rare Burnley attack sees Jay Rodriguez get to a long ball over the top, but his header loops safely into Dean Henderson's hands.

  4. Postpublished at 14 mins

    Sheff Utd 0-0 Burnley

Burnley can't keep hold of it for long at the moment - the Blades win the ball back yet again and once more Baldock is an outlet on the right of the area. He stretches and slides to try a cross, but the ball skids off his boots for a goal kick.

  5. Postpublished at 12 mins

    Sheff Utd 0-0 Burnley

Another pacey, flowing move from United - George Baldock zips in a low cross from the right and David McGoldrick gets his shot away, but it's just wide of Pope's right-hand post.

  6. Postpublished at 10 mins

    Sheff Utd 0-0 Burnley

That's a cleaver floated ball from Oliver Norwood on the left flank, and it goes close to George Baldock but at full stretch he can't reach it.

The Blades are having the best of it so far.

  7. Postpublished at 6 mins

    Sheff Utd 0-0 Burnley

Burnley deal with it safely, but United are still in the hunt and a low cross from Chris Basham, on the right, is just a few inches ahead of Lys Mousset inside the Burnley area.

  8. Postpublished at 5 mins

    Sheff Utd 0-0 Burnley

The Blades get a corner themselves, which Oliver Norwood swings in but Matt Lowton's forehead thumps it away.

But within seconds, United get another corner on the far side of the pitch...

  9. Postpublished at 4 mins

    Sheff Utd 0-0 Burnley

Jay Rodriguez hits the deck in the area when challenged by Jack O'Connell - it's all fair, and United get a corner but Nick Pope comes out to claim easily.

  10. Postpublished at 2 mins

    Sheff Utd 0-0 Burnley

There's a shout for handball and a free kick as John Fleck's cross strikes Ashley Westwood on the back of the arm, but Mr Hooper is unmoved.

  11. KICK-OFFpublished at 1 min

    Sheff Utd 0-0 Burnley

And Burnley kick off to go on the attack, but within seconds Matt Lowton's clumsy pass goes astray and the home side get their foot on the ball.

  15. Lawro's predictionpublished at 14:53 Greenwich Mean Time 2 November 2019

Sheff Utd v Burnley (15:00 GMT)

    Mark Lawrenson

The Blades' home record is actually not that great - they have lost three of their five league games at Bramall Lane so far this season - and I fancy the Clarets to edge this one.

    Prediction: 1-2

  16. The upper reaches beckon...published at 14:52 Greenwich Mean Time 2 November 2019

Sheff Utd v Burnley (15:00 GMT)

If results fall their way, a win could see Sheffield United into the giddy heights of fifth place today. A year ago, they were losing to Nottingham Forest in the Championship.

  17. 'Expect a tight and keenly-fought game'published at 14:51 Greenwich Mean Time 2 November 2019

Sheff Utd v Burnley (15:00 GMT)

    Vicki Sparks
    BBC MOTD commentator

Chris Wilder says he has to keep reminding people that Sheffield United were a League One club not so long ago - perhaps because they simply don't look like it.

Eighth in the table, with the joint-best defence in the division and unbeaten in their last three, their Premier League return couldn't be going much better.

There are plenty of parallels to be drawn with Burnley - not least between their straight talking, long-serving managers, who have helped to transform their clubs' fortunes in recent years. Just a point separates them - expect this to be a hotly-contested encounter.
