Former Everton midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

At the start of the season, things were going well and we're thinking we're finally seeing a different West Ham, one with grit and determination to get results.

Then they went away to a lower league side in the cup and got tonked 4-0, and it put their four Premier League clean sheets behind them and changed the momentum.

They've improved as a team but those different expectations are starting to hinder them.

"It's a very bad moment, without any doubt. West Ham must fight to be in the upper part of the table.

"The Premier League is very tight this season. You have three points between eight or nine teams. But of course we need to improve and we want to be in another position."
