  12. Postpublished at 33 mins

    Newcastle 0-1 Everton

    Everton are under severe pressure.

Andy Carroll leaps like 'a Cristiano Ronaldo' to head a corner ball back into the six-yard area, but Everton's defenders do enough to put off Newcastle's prowlers.

Carroll has a taste for it.

    Andy Carroll scores!!

    But he's flagged offside.

    Rightly so.

It followed great trickery from Jetro Willems inside the area. His ball found Miguel Almiron, whose shot off the post rebounded to Carroll who tucked in.

  14. Postpublished at 27 mins

    Newcastle 0-1 Everton

    Danger averted momentarily.

Newcastle usually quite watertight at home, look a little leaky.

At the other end Jonjo Shelvey lets rip...OK, he didn't let rip...with a shot that trickles past Jordan Pickford's right-hand post.

  15. Postpublished at 25 mins

Former Everton winger on BBC Final Score

Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored a good goal against Burnley and wants to make that number nine shirt his own. His hold-up play and his all-round play is excellent, the goals were just missing. Now he looks like answering that. It was a classic striker's goal. However, Newcastle were all over the place defensively.
