    James Forrest

    He's walked it in...

What was I saying about Celtic easing off? Aberdeen stand mesmerised as the visitors ping around a series of slick one-touch passes. Odsonne Edouard takes it in near the penalty spot before getting a shout from James Forrest, who just strolls forward to coolly slot his shot home from close range.

    Aberdeen 0-2 Celtic

We've got sunshine and heavy rain now as Celtic ease off a little, allowing Aberdeen to see more of the ball. Visiting goalkeeper Fraser Forster still hasn't had anything to do though.

  3. Postpublished at 30 mins

    Aberdeen 0-2 Celtic

A bustling run from Jon Gallagher earns Aberdeen a corner and Boli Bolingoli knocks the delivery behind with an uncertain header. The second set-piece comes to nothing and Celtic are back in cruise control.

  4. YELLOW CARDpublished at 27 mins

Andrew Considine slides through the back of Mohamed Elyounoussi and the Aberdeen full-back is the first man to be cautioned by referee John Beaton.

    Aberdeen 0-2 Celtic

Former Celtic and Scotland manager Gordon Strachan appears to be loving life on the north east coast this afternoon... He's still a legend in these parts for his role in the famous Alex Ferguson side but seems to have forgotten quite how cold it gets.

None of the Aberdeen players are prepared to go and put a tackle in. When I think back, they always had someone in the middle that was going to nail someone.

Aberdeen aren't putting any pressure on Celtic. They are just watching the ball being passed around them. They are basically spectators

Aberdeen can hardly get a touch. The visitors are up to an incredible 80% possession right now.

Incredible for the 18-year-old to score. He runs from the right-back position to three yards from goal. It shows his mentality.

GOAL Aberdeen 0-2 Celticpublished at 14 mins

    Jeremie Frimpong

What a moment for the 18-year-old!

The young right-back bombs forward to feed a pass to Odsonne Edouard and keeps on going to receive it back inside the penalty box. There are two defenders lunging in, as well as goalkeeper Joe Lewis, but the ball pops up nicely for Jeremie Frimpong to bundle it in.

A quality finish, but deary, deary me. The defending is abysmal. Michael Devlin, what is her thinking about? Odsonne Edouard is allowed to turn, Devlin is left trailing in his wake, tries to recover. You've got to ask the other centre back to come out and cover.

What a great run, what a great finish. He was allowed to run about 20 yards. But he leaves Joe Lewis for dead.

Sam Cosgrove has got to see that run from Jon Gallagher, he's got to see that pass. Then Celtic break on them and Andrew Considine does well to get the ball away. It's beginning to liven up now.

    Aberdeen 0-0 Celtic

Celtic captain Scott Brown is caught dithering on the ball deep in his own half by Sam Cosgrove, who strides forward but elects to go himself rather than slipping a pass to Jon Gallagher and the Aberdeen striker is stopped in his tracks by Kristoffer Ajer.

  16. Postpublished at 5 mins

It's been a busy start, with both sides in a hurry to get the ball forward, but neither goalkeeper has had any cause for concern.

What is interesting is Aberdeen's Niall McGinn and Connor McLennan appear to have switched sides. Perhaps that is so McGinn can do a job on Jeremie Frimpong.

There's not much to Jeremie Fringpong but the 18-year-old full-back is not afraid to get stuck in as his tackle topples over the towering Sam Cosgrove.

  20. 'A stiff test for Celtic' - Lennonpublished at 12:14 Greenwich Mean Time 27 October 2019

    Aberdeen v Celtic (12:15)

Celtic manager Neil Lennon has been speaking on BBC Sportsound. "We have made a couple of changes for the majority of games between Thursday and Sunday. It was a bad result against Livingston last time out but we are hoping to rectify that. It's a stiff test, couldn't be harder to be honest, but the players are in good form.

"You have to match the intensity of Aberdeen, you have to defend set plays and be ruthless in front of goal.

"The pitch is good. I've seen worse conditions here. If you can take the wind out of it great, but you have to deal with it."
