  1. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:48 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January 2020

    West Ham 1-1 Everton

It took a bit of time to get going, but a very enjoyable last 20 minutes of that half, with Issa Diop heading West Ham into the lead before Dominic Calvert-Lewin's header three minutes later made it 1-1.

  2. GREAT SAVE!published at 45 mins

    West Ham 1-1 Everton

Superb from Jordan Pickford. Absolutely superb.

Pablo Zabaleta gets to the dead-ball line and dinks in a cross into the middle with Pablo Fornals leaping high to head it down but Pickford showed great reactions to tip it over one-handed.

  3. goal

GOAL - West Ham 1-1 Evertonpublished at 43 mins

    Dominic Calvert-Lewin

West Ham's lead doesn't last long.

It's a corner from the right swung in by Lucas Digne and Mason Holgate at the near post flicks it on and Dominic Calvert-Lewin converts from close range with a diving header.

  4. goal

GOAL - West Ham 1-0 Evertonpublished at 39 mins

    Issa Diop

    The Hammers lead!

West Ham have a free-kick close to the right touchline and Robert Snodgrass swings in a gorgeous delivery, which Issa Diop gets his head to and the glancing header goes past Jordan Pickford in off the post.

  5. 'We are starting to get more quality'published at 15:35 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January 2020

    West Ham 0-0 Everton

    Matt Upson
Former England and West Ham defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

We're starting to get a game of football here. Let's not pre-empt it too early. We are starting to get a little bit more quality. Because of the poor quality it has been open and we will get chances because mistakes happen, teams commit players forward and all of a sudden there is a counter-attack. This is looking much better.

  6. Postpublished at 33 mins

    West Ham 0-0 Everton

A first chance for Everton and it comes down their left. Lucas Digne's cross is missed by Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who flung himself at it, and the ball falls to Theo Walcott at the back post.

However, he scuffs his shot and Darren Randolph, on the goal-line is able to gather it.

At the other end, the chances are all falling for Sebastien Haller. This time though, under pressure from Yerry Mina, he can only head over the top from Aaron Cresswell's cross.

  7. 'Both teams are having a go'published at 15:28 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January 2020

    West Ham 0-0 Everton

    Matt Upson
Former England and West Ham defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

It's a little bit more stretched. Both teams are having a go - not necessarily successfully. I think it is because of the poor quality from the start of the game.

  8. 'Hammers fans' protest calm and well-behaved'published at 15:28 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January 2020

    West Ham 0-0 Everton

    Eilidh Barbour
    Commentator on Final Score

The West Ham fans' protest was all very calm and well-behaved. The message was to get behind the players but make their views against the board very clear. You could feel the anger the fans have towards the board but it was calm. They called it a static protest.

  9. GREAT SAVE!published at 25 mins

    West Ham 0-0 Everton

West Ham gain possession 30 yards out after Mark Noble steals it from Seamus Coleman and they have a three-on-two chance. Noble slides it right to Sebastien Haller, but, from a tight angle, Jordan Pickford makes a fine save to keep it out.

  10. CLOSE!published at 20 mins

    West Ham 0-0 Everton

Mark Noble shifts the ball on to his right foot on the left flank and swings in a lovely cross, which Sebastien Haller meets with a header, but the Frenchman can only steer it just wide.

Moments later Pablo Zabaleta has an effort which is goalbound, but Fabian Delph gets his body in the way for a corner, which comes to nothing.

  11. Postpublished at 17 mins

    West Ham 0-0 Everton

Not much to shout about on the pitch so far. Just the weak curling effort from Robert Snodgrass which was straight at Jordan Pickford, while Darren Randolph has had nothing to do on his return to the West Ham goal.

Before the match, hundreds of West Ham supporters staged a protest against the club's co-owners David Sullivan and David Gold.

The protest, organised by fans' group Hammers United, coincides with Sullivan and Gold's 10-year anniversary in charge of the club.

The group are unhappy about the club's current position - two places and one point above the relegation zone and say they were made promises surrounding West Ham's controversial move out of Upton Park in 2016 which have not been kept.

"Many fans have sacrificed a great deal of what they hold dear about West Ham," said a Hammers United statement. "This sacrifice was made on the understanding that more, a lot more, would be forthcoming than just the survival of the club," the group said in a statement.

There has been resentment over the club's co-chairman, plus managing director Baroness Brady, over a number of years.

    West Ham 0-0 Everton

Our first shot on target and it comes from West Ham's Robert Snodgrass, who gets it on to his favoured left foot but can only curl it harmlessly straight at Jordan Pickford from the edge of the penalty area.

  15. Postpublished at 3 mins

    West Ham 0-0 Everton

An early West Ham corner from the left, but it comes to nothing as the head of Yerry Mina gets it clear.

  19. Lawro's predictionpublished at 14:58 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January 2020

    West Ham v Everton

    Mark Lawrenson
Ex-Liverpool defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

West Ham got beaten by Sheffield United last week, although they did have chances. What would have been a late equaliser was disallowed for handball, because those are the laws of game - it is a rubbish law, but you have got to stick to them.

I still think David Moyes has had positive start to his return as Hammers boss, and the same obviously goes for Carlo Ancelotti at Everton - apart from when they went to Liverpool in the FA Cup, they have been good.

I think this will be tight, and West Ham will be happy to keep it that way.

Moyes is not going to play open, expansive football because he doesn't know some of his players yet, and they have not been playing well - you have got to understand that his priority will be to make it difficult for teams to play against them.

    Lawro's prediction: 2-1

Lawro takes on actor Tom Davis, who is a West Ham fan, and Davis says: "This is a massive game for us and a big game for David Moyes against his former club. We have got a bit of fire in us at the moment and I think we will win.

"I like Moyes and I think he will steady the ship, which is what we need right now. I would love to see someone such as Joe Cole, a younger ex-player, come in as a coach and start sort of looking to the future but, for the time being, it seems like players like playing for Moyes, and that is the main thing. 3-1"

  20. Postpublished at 14:58 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January 2020

    West Ham v Everton

Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti on Moyes facing his former club: "The motivation is there to try to improve West Ham's position in the table, to try to do the best at his job.

"He has no extra motivation to play against Everton. He was here for a lot of years, he did really well at this club and everyone respects him."
