Newcastle's match-winner Miguel Almiron has just been asked how big a win this is for the Magpies:
"It's really big for us and the fans. Now we have to stay concentrated and keep working hard.
"This shows how hard we work during the week and we have to to keep on winning games at home."
Asked how he'll celebrate, the Paraguayan added: "I'm going to go home and rest and have a drink of coke! I hope it it's just the beginning of many goals."

And that's it, Newcastle aren't troubled at the finish as they climb above Palace into the top half of the Premier League.

Paul Dummett is replaced by DeAndre Yedlin.

Palace are offering nothing in search of an equaliser. They've been given another three minutes to salvage something though.

Boom. The wait it over.
Paraguayan midfielder Miguel Almiron FINALLY scores his first goal for Newcastle. On his 27th Premier League appearance.
And it was the source we expected before kick-off, Newcastle crossing to the back post for Andy Carroll to knock down for an unmarked Almiron to volley home from close range.
Newcastle United 0-0 Crystal Palace
Paul Dummett forces a Newcastle corner, which Jonjo Shelvey lofts towards Andy Carroll, but his knock-down is hacked clear.
Newcastle United 0-0 Crystal Palace
Roll of the dice from Newcastle. Striker Dwight Gayle comes on for an ineffective Joelinton.
Newcastle United 0-0 Crystal Palace
Palace have plenty of bodies forward as they find James McCarthy on the right corner of the box but the midfielder lashes a shot well over. Rash.
Newcastle United 0-0 Crystal Palace
Palace are beginning to put some pressure on. Christian Benteke races into the box down the right and his low shot is blocked by keeper Martin Dubravka for a corner, which is easily cleared.
Newcastle United 0-0 Crystal Palace
Palace have a corner cleared as far as Luka Milivojevic, whose low strike from just over 20 yards is blocked.
Newcastle United 0-0 Crystal Palace
Andy Carroll picks it up on the right wing in the Newcastle half and tries a diagonal ball to the far flank.
It goes straight to the Palace right-back though, 20 yards from the nearest Newcastle player. Sums it up.
Newcastle United 0-0 Crystal Palace
Palace win a corner and James Tomkins turns it wide at the far post. In fairness, the ball had just swung out before it reached the Palace defender.
Newcastle United 0-0 Crystal Palace
Change for Newcastle as Sean Longstaff replaces fellow midfielder Isaac Hayden.

Miguel Almiron has not created anything today. But he has been more lively than I've seen him in months.
He's yet to do anything with that liveliness, but he might be on the brink.
Newcastle United 0-0 Crystal Palace
Crystal Palace had just six shots in the first half. They've had five in the opening 12 minutes of the second half.
Newcastle United 0-0 Crystal Palace
Now then. Wilfried Zaha feeds a ball into James McArthur and the midfielder tries to get round Florian Lejeune in the box. McArthur goes down while poking the ball straight at Martin Dubravka. Was that a decent penalty shout?
Nah, Lejeune got his toe to the ball to stop McArthur getting a clean shot away.
Newcastle United 0-0 Crystal Palace
James McArthur has a dig from maybe 25 yards out, just left of centre. Was always rising though. Martin Dubravka wafts a hand at it as it goes over though, just to make sure.
Newcastle United 0-0 Crystal Palace
Finally Newcastle's strike pair connect. Well, almost.
Jonjo Shelvey's deep free-kick is headed back towards goal by Joelinton and Palace keeper Vincente Guaita scrambles it clear from a stretching Andy Carroll. The Spaniard gets clattered for his troubles too. It's nothing he can't run off though.
