  1. CLOSE!published at 15:48 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January 2020

    Charlton 0-1 West Brom

The Charlton set-piece is absolutely fizzed in across the face of the goal. It takes several touches off two attackers, a defender and the keeper before bouncing just wide of the right post!

  2. Postpublished at 15:48 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January 2020

    Middlesbrough 1-1 Tottenham

Serge Aurier will not want to watch that one back later...

He receives the ball perfectly-placed in the box to smash in a winner for Spurs, but he blasts it over the bar!

  3. Postpublished at 15:47 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January 2020

    Charlton 0-1 West Brom

Oooh, this is risky! Dara O'Shea sticks a leg out and it's a clumsy tackle on Abraham Odoh, who was dancing his way into the box.

The ref blows for a foul immediately but he's JUST on the edge.

  4. Postpublished at 15:46 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January 2020

    Charlton 0-1 West Brom

Jack Fitzwater is on the receiving end of a hefty tackle from Jonathan Williams but he's okay to carry on.

West Brom will just try and run the clock down now.

  5. Postpublished at 15:45 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January 2020

    Crewe 1-2 Barnsley

Owen Dale concede a free-kick in his own half, which gives Crewe a chance to put a ball in the box.

It's wasted though as it sails over everyone's heads and out for a goalkick which Bradley Collins is in no rush to take.

  6. Postpublished at 15:44 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January 2020

    Bristol Rovers 2-2 Coventry

There are about seven minutes remaining at the Memorial.

There is that sense that there might be one more goal before time runs out.

    Middlesbrough 1-1 Tottenham

    Pat Nevin
Former Chelsea and Scotland winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

Lucas Moura is looking the liveliest Spurs player. He's come more and more alive and the reason is there is a bit more space with Boro are trying to break, creating a bit room on that left-hand side. But he's also been lifting by his goal, clearly!

  8. Postpublished at 15:43 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January 2020

    Chelsea 2-0 Nottingham Forest

Chelsea look to be cruising into the fourth round. Tariq Lamptey chases a ball down on the right, wins back possession for Chelsea but Ross Barkley's backheel on the edge of the area doesn't come off.

    Fylde pull one back!

A lovely chip over Dean Henderson by Jordan Williams. Can the non-league side get back into this one?

    Williams certainly enjoyed that!

Sarah Morgan: Why has it taken so long for pitchside monitors to be used in VAR decisions? That's how VAR's always worked in European leagues and international tournaments and what everybody seeing it asked for!

Spolitics: So nice playing the Middlesbrough v Tottenham game without VAR today, actually enjoying the game again regardless the score.

  12. CLOSE!published at 15:41 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January 2020

    Middlesbrough 1-1 Tottenham

Lucas Moura has just gone very, very close to a second for Spurs.

He unleashes a blistering right-footed effort on goal from outside the box but Tomas Mejias saves brilliantly.

    Crystal Palace 0-1 Derby

The Rams - with a man extra - are looking to kill the game off now.

They are stroking the ball about at Selhurst Park, and it looks as if Palace may not have any more fight left in them.

    10 to go.

No surprise the first ref to use the pitchside monitor is Michael Oliver as he is easily the best ref in England. The refs have probably been just as frustrated by the implementation of VAR as the rest of us.

    Chelsea 2-0 Nottingham Forest

Teenager Tariq Lamptey comes on for Pedro. Another chance for the Chelsea youngster to impress. It's the 19-year-old's home debut. He played in the 2-1 win over Arsenal earlier this month.

  16. Postpublished at 15:39 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January 2020

    Sheffield United 2-0 AFC Fylde

Luke Freeman wants a goal for Sheffield United.

He's peppering the Fylde goal with shots from all over the park but the visitors' defence is doing well to deny him.

    HOW?

Chris Brunt almost pokes in one of the goals of the round from just inside the box. It chips the keeper but bounces back off the underside of the crossbar.

Following up is Charlie Austin, who is just yards out. The keeper gets a hand on it and the ball ends up spinning back off the backline and is honked clear.

    Unbelievable!!
