If you look at Wolves squad, they literally have 18 players. It's great because everyone gets game time but it's difficult with so many games. I like the way Nuno has gone about it, I like their style of play, I like how he uses the squad. A couple of wins and they might be in the Champions League.

Lawrence Wright: Once again Ole is pandering to Martial. The only reason he starts Greenwood is so he can pull him off and not Martial when there are no goals. Why buy Ighalo if you're not going to play him, how many games are there left!

gdev: Re Justin Lees comment. There should only be 2 for the whole game. And like cricket the captain has to decide on the review... If they get it wrong then they lose the review.

Re Justin Lee: I reckon this could work, however it should only be used for objectionable decisions (red cards and penalties) and not certainties such as offside.

Manchester United will be adopting a novel approach to their mascot situation at Old Trafford today.

Instead of kids lining up with the players, there will be 11 'Guests of Honour', who are all local United fans aged between 61 and 87.

The initiative is aimed at highlighting the problem of loneliness amongst older people and is part of a 'donate your words' campaign, to encourage youngsters to have a conversation with someone older.

Manchester United v Watford (14:00 GMT)

    Guy Mowbray
    Match of the Day commentator

The Nigel Pearson-led Watford revival began with a win over Manchester United - the start of a six-game unbeaten run that lifted the Hornets out of the bottom three.

They might have slightly faltered and dropped back in since, but the belief that they'll beat the drop hasn't wavered and they'll feel they can be the first Watford side EVER to win a league game at Old Trafford.

And they really could against United, whose fans don't know what to count on at the moment. Excellent one game then distinctly average the next, and yet still in the thick of the 'top-four fight'.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer turns 47 next Wednesday. Any more inconsistency and he might start to look his age for the first time.

Lay off VAR. Rugby and cricket were both poor when they were first brought in! Football is learning on the job just as the other sports have, it will get there in a couple of seasons.

Justin Lee: VAR solved. Each team to get 3 VAR checks per match. Max 2 per half. The captain must ask ref. Ref then checks monitor. Let the ref referee the game and only use VAR when team requests a check. Should lead back to smoother running games.

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on trying to find consistency: "It is team selection - you've got to maybe rotate in Europe like we've done, then maybe go back to what we were at Chelsea this week.

"I feel that Bruno [Fernandes] and Odion [Ighalo] coming in will get more goals in the team. That's been lacking. The games we've lost - West Ham, Burnley, Palace, Bournemouth - we've had chances but we haven't scored goals."

Four unanswered goals in the Europa League brought a much-needed return to form for Wolves. Their record showed one solitary win in nine before Thursday's demolition of Espanyol; they now return to what's becoming quite a fight for this year's European places.

Norwich, meanwhile, have all but run out of time to mount what would be a truly great escape. They're eight points from safety with 12 games to play.

Since the shock victory over Manchester City five months and 21 games ago, the Canaries have won just twice in the league, while the previously prolific Teemu Pukki has only a pair of penalties to show for 2020 thus far. Extra freshness may be their best hope here…

    Norwich City

Norwich head coach Daniel Farke: "Wolves are playing in Europe, they have kept three clean sheets, they have individual quality and it is a huge task. But I don't see any easy fixtures at this stage. It is about us. We always have a chance if we are good at our topics.

"People can write us off and say we have no chance to close the gap. But I don't agree. It is possible."
