    More promising for Norwich.

Emiliano Buendia and Mario Vrancic over it...

The right-footed Buendia takes and swings in a brilliant effort that Palace keeper Vicente Guaita matches by diving to his right and tipping it round the post.

Norwich can't fashion anything from the resulting corner.

Better, if still not great as Palace can only win the second ball and Cheikhou Kouyate, who replaced Mamadou Sakho at half-time, sees his cross deflected out for a throw.

    Norwich eventually clear.

    HT: Norwich 1-0 Crystal Palace

Norwich's attackers are doing a fine job of tracking back so far.

The hosts need to be careful not to sit too deep but have looked plenty bright on the counter in that first half.

    Work to do for Palace.

  18. HALF-TIMEpublished at 18:17 Greenwich Mean Time 1 January 2020

    Norwich 1-0 Crystal Palace

Norwich doing a fine job of breaking up whatever Palace throw at them after that early Todd Cantwell goal.

They'd really wish they had a second going in to the break though after a couple of decent chances to end the half.

  19. CLOSE!published at 45 mins

    Norwich 1-0 Crystal Palace

Norwich really need these to go in.

Another nice move from the Canaries sees Max Aarons picked out in space 10 yards out on the right of the Palace area.

The right-back snatches his effort wide of the left-hand post though.

  20. Postpublished at 44 mins

    Norwich 1-0 Crystal Palace

Mamadou Sakho makes another error as he fails to connect with a long ball forward and it drops to Teemu Pukki.

The Finland international is one-on-one with James Tomkins, who does really well to shepherd Pukki out to the left and get in a block on an eventually tame effort.

    Vicente Guaita gathers.
