A lot of people will be looking at Belgium in this tournament. Russia have gifted them two goals and need the next goal.

Russia were in the game but Belgium gained confidence from that first goal.

Yuri Zirkhov (37y 296d) is the oldest player ever to play for Russia at the Euros.

His 43-minute appearance this evening sees him overtake Sergei Ignashevich, who was (36y 342d) at the 2016 tournament.

Yannick Carrasco can't quite get away on the left but he battles for it back immediately.

He wriggles into the box, beats two defenders, then smashes one inches over the bar.

Belgium need to get Youri Tielemans on the ball more. He's whipping it around nicely and causing Russia some problems.

It's Tielemans who gets the ball in the box but his shot is blocked by a wall of defenders. Nobody picked him up.

The goalkeeper Anton Shunin is playing with a lot of nerves at the moment. He made a mistake and then came to a danger area where he could not get the ball.

There was nothing Yuri Zhirkov could do about that challenge with Thomas Meunier. No way was it a penalty. I could have told the VAR officials that straight away.

Toby Alderweireld's pass won't reach Youri Tielemans but he recovers well to stop the Russian counter-attack.

Vyacheslav Karavaev then replaces Yuri Zhirkov, who pulled up a little earlier. Russia have used two subs already!

No penalty.

Russia are giving the ball away so cheaply. Belgium almost capitalise again but Thomas Meunier goes down in the box before he can get a shot away. No penalty says the referee. VAR will check it though...

Artem Dzyuba gets on the end of a Russia free-kick and he heads it dangerously across the goalline and towards the far post.

Nobody can get on the end of it. Why didn't he go for goal?

Russia might have to make another change. Yuri Zhirkov has gone down holding the back of his leg. He heads off to the side for some treatment.

It is poor goalkeeping. It is a good ball in but he has to parry that away. He has to do better. I think that could be game over.

Every time Belgium go forward they look like they are going to score.

Denis Cheryshev scored four goals in the World Cup finals in Russia in 2018. The Valencia midfielder is a good man to come on.

Since going a goal down Russia have arguably been the best team.

Daler Kuzyaev doesn't look like he's able to carry on either. On comes Denis Cheryshev for Russia.

Before kick-off, Belgium had a 50.1% chance of winning. Now, after taking the lead, Opta predicts their chances are 72.5%.
