Stefan Lainer has scored his second goal for Austria, with the other also coming against North Macedonia.

Marcel Sabitzer's last assist for his national team also came against these lads.

Almost a second for Austria. Marcel Sabitzer plays another nice ball into the box and Sasa Kalajdzic turns it towards goal but it's straight at Stole Dimitrievski.

This is the first time Austria have ever taken the lead in a European Championship game.

Lovely goal.

Marcel Sabitzer flights a lovely ball into the box and Stefan Lainer drifts in behind the Macedonian defence.

He gets the ball at the back post before it goes out of play and gets his boot up high to hook a volley across the keeper into the net.

The first thing resembling an Austria chance but Sasa Kalajdzic's long-range shot is blocked.

Igor Angelovski will be thrilled with North Macedonia's start.

They have looked a threat and they look solid at the back.

Austria are starting to grow into it a bit more. They're probing but the Macedonian defence is holding firm.

Nice run by Goran Pandev down the right and a one-two but Austria eventually clear. Pandev had more pace than I was expecting at the age of 37. Can't remember a time before Pandev.

North Macedonia commit bodies forward when they have the ball. I don't know whether Austria have the pace in the team to take advantage when they lose it.

Big chance for North Macedonia but Eljif Elmas gets his through ball to Goran Pandev wrong and it runs through to the Austria keeper.

Funny isn't it how this is the kind of game you'd never consider watching usually and once it's at a major tournament, you'll give it a follow.

David Alaba is at centre-back today for Austria. He often plays further forward for his country than his club. Well he's got a new club - he's joining Real Madrid from Bayern Munich this summer.

There are a lot more Macedonian fans in Romania than Austrian ones. Boos as Austria have a bit of possession. Cheers as David Alaba overhits a ball forward.
