    France 1-0 Germany

    Another France change.

Adrien Rabiot finally comes off and on comes another speedster in Ousmane Dembele.

  2. Postpublished at 90+2 mins

    France 1-0 Germany

Germany are going to need something special to try and open France up.

Remarkable fact: No-one from this Germany squad has ever scored a European Championship goal.

    France 1-0 Germany

We may well have two international heavyweights on show but we've had just the one effort on target since France took the lead in the 20th minute (an Antonio Rudiger header in the 70th minute).

Germany paying the price for not starting a striker. Why do teams insist on this inane approach? Goals win games. You should ALWAYS play a proper centre forward.

SIX minutes of added time. Six?!

And that will be more as Adrien Rabiot goes down needing treatment.

Paul Collins: One shot on target each with Germany having more shots overall and more possession. In general play, Germany have been the better team except yet again for the possession they've had they've done absolutely nothing with it. Just like Spain.

Richard: Worst Germany team ever! But will still beat England easily.

That was a waste from Leroy Sane. It was a great place for a left-footed player. It was pretty poor.

  9. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 88 mins

    France 1-0 Germany

That's poor from Leroy Sane, curling a free-kick way over.

France make a change, meanwhile, and it's a defensive one.

Striker Karim Benzema was unlucky not to score and makes way for Corentin Tolisso appearing on his home ground.

    Shut up shop time.

  10. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 87 mins

    France 1-0 Germany

    Two more changes for Germany.

Matthias Ginter and Robin Gosens are replaced by Emre Can and Kevin Volland.

    Breaking

    France 1-0 Germany

    NO!

Kylian Mbappe is adjudged to be offside and Karim Benzema's strike is chalked off. As we were.

    Four to go.

That has surprised me. Paul Pogba did not sort his feet out. They are looking at this. I think he is offside.

    All over!!

Guess who makes it again? Yep, Paul Pogba. A perfect sliderule pass through to Kylian Mbappe and he rolls is across for Karim Benzema to convert an easy finish from six yards out.

    But VAR is getting involved.

It was a good tackle, Mats Hummels had to get it right.

Time ticking away for Germany now.

Remember a loss is not the worst result as the top three can advance to the last-16.

Mats Hummels did tackle Kylian Mbappe from behind but he got a big chunk of the ball.

Just recovering from watching Kylian Mbappe there, unbelievable speed. 10 minutes remaining.

I was expecting the referee to point to the spot there.

Good grief, Kylian Mbappe is quicker than light, the cameraman cannot keep up with him.

Karim Benzema knocks a ball long and Mbappe is trailing by 10 yards but he eats the ground up on Mats Hummels before cutting into the box.

Somehow Hummels catches back up and makes an inch-perfect sliding challenge to save an almost certain goal.

    0-60 quicker than a Lambo.

"He almost retired Hummels there and then," says Keown.

I think Joachim Low is expecting Leroy Sane and Timo Werner to keep that France defence pinned further back because they will not want to leave too much space in behind.
