Germany have lost their last two games at the European Championships, with both defeats coming against France.

The Germans have had 28 shots across those two games without managing to score.

And they say lightning never strikes in the same place twice.

Assistant manager of RB Leipzig, Moritz Volz, speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live: "France had Mbappe occupying two players to create space for others and Germany did not have that.

"Serge Gnabry was mainly in the centre of attack, I did not agree with him coming off and Kai Havertz did not look at his best. There were a lot of sloppy touches.

"Germany had chances to score but there has to be more movement and quicker movement off the ball."

France just got over the line. They got a bit of luck when they needed it. I was expecting more from them but they will say, 'who cares'.
