    Brighton 1-1 Man Utd

Well, well, well. Manchester United took the lead at Brighton 15 seconds after kick-off.

But, just moments before the half-time whistle, Brighton pull level.

Aileen Whelan heads the hosts back on terms... And there's the half-time whistle. It was a fairly quiet 43 minutes or so in between the two goals!

Beth England now has 13 league goals for this season, putting her just one behind the WSL's top scorer Vivianne Miedema, who will be in action tomorrow night for Arsenal.

    Chelsea 2-0 Birmingham City

    Samantha Miller

A lot of players would have tried to adjust their body to try and touch the ball and bring it down with their feet, but Beth England used her head to guide it in front of her because she knows she has the pace and strength.

As soon as she took that touch forward you knew it would end up in the back of the net.

She will really be impressing England boss Phil Neville now with her goal-scoring tally.

    Beth England (58 mins)

Cool, calm and clinical in front of goal - just as she has been all season. Beth England continues to stake her claim to be England's regular number nine, as she continues to find the net for Chelsea again and again.

This time she runs clear behind the Birmingham defence, has the pace to hold off her markers, and then beats Hannah Hampton with a tidy finish.

Former Republic of Ireland international Alan Mahon is taking charge of Man City for the first time tonight as interim boss.

I think I can see a snood there. A strong, sensible choice, on this bitterly cold night, you might say.

His side are giving him a winning start at things stand...
