Ross County co-manager Steven Ferguson: "We created really good chances and, at places like this, you need to take them. We should have managed the goals we lost better. We felt it was a soft penalty but we have played our part in losing the other two.

"We didn't feel it was a 3-0 and that's a vast improvement on the last time we were here. But we need to learn and improve further."

Don Cowie played his first match in nine months and Ferguson says the veteran midfielder is a "hugely important" player for the second half of the season.

"He is the model professional. His influence today was huge. His voice, his energy and experience showed tenfold. It's a real credit to him that he can perform like that after so long out of the game."

Some blunt words from Kilmarnock boss Alex Dyer.

He tells BBC Scotland: "We're not good enough at the moment. I'm not saying they are not giving 100% but it's 100% of what they've got and, at this time, it's not good enough.

"It's not a quick fix. It's about working hard on the training pitch and trying to get one or two (new players) in.

"We have good players in that changing room but confidence is low because we've not won for ages. We have to dig in and not feel sorry for ourselves to turn it round.

"I'm concerned because I'm in charge and I want to win games. I've been in the game a long time but I have to learn. I look at myself first and pass that on to the players."

Hamilton head coach Brian Rice could move into the transfer market after a heavy home defeat.

"We'll have to have a look at it," he tells BBC Scotland. "We were down to the bare bones and I didn't have a defender on the bench.

"There's no doubt Livingston deserved to win. They were hungrier and more aggressive.

"It was very difficult for us today - we've got five first-team regulars missing from the team.

"We had a makeshift back four and we got caught out by Livingston's strengths - long throws, set plays - and we didn't deal with that.

"I've got no complaints about the penalty. Bobby Madden is one of the best referees in the country, he has seen a hand ball and given a decision he thinks is correct."

Livingston manager Gary Holt insists he is not looking at league positions despite his side consolidating fifth spot.

"I'm absolutely over the moon," he tells BBC Scotland. "The resilience to going a goal down even though we started the game well and go ahead then score two goals after they drew level again, I've got to take my hat off to their level of commitment and sticking to the game plan and what we're good at."

Holt had special praise for midfield scorers Craig Sibbald and Scott Pittman.

"Wee Sibbs has one of the hardest shots in Scottish football and we've been encouraging him to be on the front foot and his strike was tremendous," he says.

"Wee Scott Pitman, I thought he was man of the match today, never stopped running and got himself a great goal.

"We got the result the performance deserved and hopefully that will kick us on for the rest of the season."

St Johnstone manager Tommy Wright thought his side were hard done by to concede a first-half penalty after taking the lead.

"I thought a poor decision was going to cost us," he says. "For the penalty, it's not in the box. He throws himself in. I'm just glad the players were able to put that behind them in the second half.

"Today was about getting back on track and finishing the day level on points with Kilmarnock and I couldn't have asked for any more from the players."

On Matty Kennedy's departure to Aberdeen yesterday, he adds: "If the club got a fair price, that's no problem. I've been consistent in saying that. I wish him well and we move on.

"We certainly need to get some bodies in. It frees up a wage and we'll be able to work with that."

Hibernian head coach Jack Ross was pleased to claim a “hard-fought” point against in-form Motherwell but added he wants to strengthen his squad before the transfer window closes.

He tells BBC Radio Scotland: “We came here to win – started with two strikers – but there wasn’t a huge amount of opportunities for either side.

“Given where we were not so long ago and the progress we’ve made in the last 10-12 games, it’s another point to our total.

“We need to [bring more players in] because we’re light on numbers now, with serious injuries and people leaving the club.

“We need one in the defensive area to give us more depth there and another attacking option. We’ve worked hard on that and I would hope to do that before the window closes.”

A very pleased Celtic manager Neil Lennon tells BBC Scotland: “Once we got the first goal I thought we controlled the game. That's two very good wins in the league. We are starting to build again."

On two-goal Odsonne Edouard, who started on the bench due to a minor foot injury, he adds: “He is hugely important, he is an outstanding footballer, almost talismanic. He is up there with some of the best we’ve had over the last 20 years.

“Odsonne made a huge impact today and we are delighted with that.

“It’s a great win for us. Rangers have two extra games. Tynecastle is a tough place to go but we will see what happens.”

Motherwell boss Stephen Robinson tells BBC Radio Scotland: "I think we should have had three points. Some of our build-up play was brilliant today.

"I have to credit their goalkeeper – the save he makes to stop Christy Manzinga is brilliant. It was a fantastic save. Sometimes you can’t do any more than that.

"If we had a 20-goal striker we would have won the game today."

In terms of any players leaving Fir Park this month, he adds: "No one’s contacted me – and I will be turning off my phone if they do.”

Karamoko Dembele, 16, got on for the last few minutes of Celtic's win today.

At just 5ft, 3", he's giving away a bit of reach to towering goalkeeper Fraser Forster.

Livingston consolidate fifth spot as they came from behind to secure a fourth consecutive victory.

Shaun Want fired second bottom side Accies into the lead, but the visitors responded within a couple of minutes through a fine Craig Sibbald finish.

Aaron Taylor-Sinclair headed Livi into a half-time lead only for debutant Sam Woods to head Hamilton level.

But a Stevie Lawless penalty and Scott Pittman finish secured a deserved win for Gary Holt's side.

We expected a thriller. We didn't even get a goal.

Motherwell huffed and puffed for a winner in the final 10 or 15 minutes, but stubborn Hibernian held on.

Hibs striker Florian Kamberi came close to breaking the deadlock - and maybe should have - when his header struck the post.

Motherwell substitute Christy Manzinga also hit the woodwork - with his effort brilliantly palmed on to the crossbar by Ofir Marciano.

The home side dominated for long spells but didn't create very many clear chances.

The draw means Hibs fall two points behind fifth-placed Livingston, while Aberdeen can narrow the margin on third-placed Motherwell when they face St Mirren on Sunday.
