  1. Can Celtic profit from Rangers slip?published at 17:57 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February 2020

Celtic can stretch their lead to seven points if they win at Hamilton tomorrow lunchtime.

Livingston just keep on winning and Kilmarnock stopped the rot with a long overdue victory. The table is looking a little bit better for Hearts too after that late, late equaliser at McDiarmid Park.

  2. 'We got what we deserved' - Dyerpublished at 17:53 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February 2020

    FT: Kilmarnock 3-1 Ross County

Speaking to BBC Sportsound, Kilmarnock manager Alex Dyer says he was slightly concerned when they went a goal down to Ross County earlier this afternoon, but praised his players' resilience.

"They scored against the run of play. We started the game well, I thought we were in control and it came out of nothing really," he said.

"We gathered ourselves and tried to stay in the game until half-time.

"Brophy was on his A-game, came to the table and scored two great goals. It was all about not panicking, even though we were on this run where it's not been great and you go a goal behind and heads can drop. But they dug in, they knew that they were playing well and knew they’d get the chances to score, which they did.

"The players deserve what they got today – it’s been a long run but today was a good day and hopefully we can build on it now."

  3. 'It wasn't one of our better days' - Rosspublished at 17:50 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February 2020

    FT: Hibernian 2-2 St Mirren

Hibernian manager Jack Ross is disappointed not to win at home but is pleased with the way his players hit back from 2-0 down.

When asked if he was happy with a draw, Ross said: "No, because we have ambitions and expectations to try and win every single game at Easter Road.

"Over the last two or three months our home record has been good. However, the circumstances of the game changed that a little bit. To find ourselves two goals behind so early in the match means that we had to show character and resilience to come back.

"It wasn't one of our better days overall but when you have a game like that and still take something from it then that's encouraging."

  4. 'Today surpassed anything in my tenure' - Holtpublished at 17:45 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February 2020

    FT: Livingston 1-0 Motherwell

Livingston's win means they extend their home winning streak to five games - and they have done it without conceding a single goal. Gary Holt was delighted with his side as he suggested to BBC Sportsound post-match that it might be the best performance he's had from his team.

"In my tenure here the performances have been really good, but I think that today surpassed anything.

"We had to go toe-to-toe with a very good Motherwell side. As a spectacle I thought it was great. I thought it was a right good battle, but when it came to the quality side of the game I thought we had that in abundance, and some of our play deserved more goals."

  5. Motherwell were 'miles away' - Robinsonpublished at 17:41 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February 2020

    FT: Livingston 1-0 Motherwell

After four successive away wins, Motherwell turned in an uncharacteristic performance today as they lost out to a hungrier Livingston side. As expected, Stephen Robinson was not happy with his side's display. Speaking to BBC Sportsound post-match, Robinson said: "We were miles away. If we equalised at the end it would’ve been daylight robbery. We didn’t turn up.

"We didn’t pass, we didn’t play, but most of all we were outfought and outran. It can't keep going if we want to stay in third place."

But for a standout performance from goalkeeper Mark Gillespie it could've been an embarrassing scoreline for Motherwell and he was the only player Robinson was willing to give credit to.

"There isn’t anyone who came out with any credit apart from Mark Gillespie. He kept us in the game. We’ve offered Mark a contract, it’s been on the table since July.

"There’s a lot of people that like him. He’s doing what he's got the right to and seeing what’s out there, but in the meantime if he puts in performances like that I have no qualms with him."

  6. 'I'm kicking myself after that' - Goodwinpublished at 17:35 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February 2020

    FT: Hibernian 2-2 St Mirren

St Mirren manager Jim Goodwin is proud of the manner in which his side harassed Hibernian at the start of the match but admits those same tactics may have allowed their opponents back in to the match.

Speaking to BBC Scotland, he said: "We started the game really well. We came here to have a right go at Hibs. We pressed them right up pitch. I thought we caused them problems and won the ball back from their defensive or midfield third quite regularly. We got a good foothold in the game in the opening 15 minutes and got ourselves a couple of goals in front.

"When you go two up you need to manage the game a little bit better and I'm kind of kicking myself a little bit in terms of that because we carried on pressing in the manner we started the game and by doing that we probably allowed Scott Allan too much space in behind. And that allows Hibs back in to the game. Fair play to them. The draw is probably a fair result."

  7. 'Saints the better team' - Wrightpublished at 17:28 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February 2020

    FT: St Johnstone 3-3 Hearts

St Johnstone manager Tommy Wrightis exasperated after Hearts struck so late to snatch a draw in Perth and thinks his side were hard done since the equaliser came from a contentious free kick.

"We should have won," he says bluntly. "We were the better team.

"All credit to my players, I thought they were magnificent, the second half was exhilarating.

"But once again we are let down by officials. The referee has overturned a clear foul on McCart after the fourth official called it right. We should defend it better, we know that, but we need a bit of help."

Of two-goal Stevie May, he says: "That will do him the world of good. The front two were magnificent. Chris Kane comes in for some stick from our supporters, which is uncalled for. There has to be a partnership."

  10. Hearts lost their way - Stendelpublished at 17:12 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February 2020

    FT: St Johnstone 3-3 Hearts

Hearts boss Daniel Stendel is puzzled by his side's second half display in a six-goal thriller.

"Our defending was so bad in the second half," he laments on BBC Sportsound. "I need to understand what has happened. It was a really good shot to get the point but we cannot play football like we did after half time. We lost our plan, our idea of how to play."

Rangers are now four points behind Celtic, who face Hamilton tomorrow.

  16. FULL-TIME Hibernian 2-2 St MIrrenpublished at 16:52 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February 2020

Hibs hit back from 2-0 down but they can't find a winner at rainy Easter Road.

As you were in the table for both sides, however Jack Ross' side look a little more precarious in sixth place.

Results elsewhere mean Livingston are now four points clear of the Leith side and Kilmarnock's 3-1 victory over Ross County means they sit just four points behind Hibs in seventh.

St Mirren, meanwhile, sit just three points above the relegation spot.

The visitors almost sneaked it at the death, with a shot against the post, but were seldom seen as an attacking force.
