Here's a fun fact. Today is the first time Middlesbrough have hosted Luton Town in a league fixture since they moved to the Riverside...almost 25 years ago.

The last time they played Luton was in April 1995 in the final competitive match played at Ayresome Park, with Middlesbrough winning 2-1 and earning promotion to the Premier League.

Fast forward to 2020 and Boro are unbeaten in their past 10 home games but are winless in eight straight matches.

Struggling Luton are seven points adrift of safety and will be hoping for a vital three points this afternoon.

It's a tale of two teams and their fortunes today as second-placed Leeds take on a Bristol City side lying narrowly outside the Championship play-off places.

Leeds have won just once in their past five league games but have only been defeated once in their past 15 league games against Bristol City.

Bristol City boss Lee Johnson faces a tough task against Leeds. In his managerial career, he's only lost more matches against Preston (nine) and six against Wolves than his five defeats against Leeds.

Although Fulham may have won their past three home league games against Barnsley, it is the Tykes who on the verge of a historic double.

Should they win on their travels to the capital this afternoon, it will be the first time they have completed a league double over the Cottagers since 1999-00.

That being said, the Tykes have won just one of their past 22 away league matches and face a Fulham side level on points with second-placed Leeds.

  4. Huddersfield's unenviable Rams runpublished at 14:47 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February 2020

Derby County have not lost a match against Huddersfield in their past 23 home games against the Terriers in all competitions.

Huddersfield are five points off the drop zone having wrestled the necessary form to pull away from the bottom three but what a day this would be to pick up a vital win.

However, they've won just three of their past four league games on the road. Is now the time to turn that around?

    Charlton v Blackburn (15:00 GMT)

    Tony MowbrayImage source, Rex Features

It's fair to say Charlton's form hasn't been spectacular this season but things are gradually turning around at The Valley.

The Addicks pulled off a superb win against promotion-chasing Nottingham Forest in midweek and the last time they played at home, they beat struggling Barnsley in their move away from the drop zone.

Today, they face a Blackburn side who have not fared so well in the capital, having lost against Fulham and QPR away from home this season.

Wigan are four points adrift of safety in 22nd place in the Championship and travel to a reinvigorated Cardiff City side, who are also looking up the table, but in a different way.

The Bluebirds are unbeaten in six league matches and are four points off the play-off places.

Today's visitors are deeply in a relegation battle, but things are slowly changing under Paul Cook.

They have won two of their past three away league games - a run that's come off the back of winning just once in 34 league matches on the road.

The Bees lost 1-0 against Birmingham on the opening day, but have ensured they are one of the promotion contenders this season.

Can they keep pace with their rivals at the top or will Blues make it four victories in a row?
