  4. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 19:52 Greenwich Mean Time 26 February 2020

    Blackburn 0-0 Stoke

Blackburn have the ball in the back of the net, but it's ruled out for offside.

Adam Armstrong has a shot from the edge of the box, it's spilled by Jack Butland, and Joe Rothwell taps in the rebound.

    Up goes the flag.

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Leeds

First real foray forward from either side ends with home winger Hayden Coulson sending in a dangerous cross from the left that Leeds clear away with relative ease.

    Reading v Wigan (20:00 GMT)

    Madejski StadiumImage source, Rex Features

It's almost exactly three months since Wigan slipped into the Championship's relegation zone.

The Latics could escape the bottom three with victory at Reading, although they'd also need Middlesbrough to fall to a heavy defeat by Leeds.

Paul Cook's men go into the game at the Madejski Stadium off the back of three wins and two draws in their past six matches.

They face a Reading team who have won just two league games in 2020 and are without a home win since Boxing Day.

    Here we go then.

Six of our seven matches are getting under way.

Reading take on Wigan in about 15 minutes. There have been few early goals in the Championship recently. I reckon that's going to change tonight...

Sheff Wed v Charlton (19:45 GMT)

    Sheffield WednesdayImage source, Rex Features

Sheffield Wednesday's last home win came on 22 December and sent the Owls up to third in the table.

Two months, and just one league win on, they start tonight's game against struggling Charlton in 13th position.

Wednesday were seconds away from winning at Birmingham on Saturday before Scott Hogan's stoppage time equaliser condemned them to a seventh straight league game without victory.

The Addicks recorded a crucial win over fellow strugglers Luton at the weekend but with the bottom three teams all picking up results over the last few weeks they know they need to make the most of opportunities like this one.

  11. Rovers under the radarpublished at 19:38 Greenwich Mean Time 26 February 2020

    Blackburn v Stoke (19:45 GMT)

Blackburn have gone about their business quietly this season, but just one defeat in their past eight matches has seen them move to within sight of the top six.

Victory against Stoke would take them within two points of the play-off places.

Meanwhile, the Potters inability to string a set of decent results together has seen them remain in relegation trouble.

A heavy defeat at Ewood Park coupled with a Wigan victory at Reading could see Michael O'Neill's side drop into the bottom three.

  12. Tough one to callpublished at 19:36 Greenwich Mean Time 26 February 2020

    Millwall v Birmingham (19:45 GMT)

    Gary RowettImage source, Rex Features

A meeting of two mid-table teams at The Den sees out-of-form Millwall host in-form Birmingham.

The Lions' play-off hopes have diminished in recent weeks following one victory in six, while Blues are unbeaten in 11 games in all competitions.

If I was a betting man, I'd put my money on a draw. Too tough to call.

Joe Wedgewood: Shout out to toilets at Craven Cottage. In lovely nick, don't see that often at grounds.

The league's top scorer, a chance to go third, and now praise for the toilets. Life is pretty decent for Fulham fans.

    Aleksandar MitrovicImage source, Rex Features

Fulham fans will be hoping their side puts on a better show than last time out at Craven Cottage when they fell to a shock 3-0 defeat by lowly Barnsley.

But with the Championship's top scorer Aleksandar Mitrovic still firing and a chance to move third with victory, things aren't all that bad in west London.

Tonight's opponents Swansea are hovering outside the play-off zone but finding wins hard to come by.

Saturday's 3-1 victory against Huddersfield ended a run of five games without a win.

  15. Can buoyant Barnsley topple toothless Tigers?published at 19:29 Greenwich Mean Time 26 February 2020

Hull City v Barnsley (19:45 GMT)

    BarnsleyImage source, Rex Features

Barnsley's survival hopes looked as good as over a couple of weeks ago after a run of five games without a win left them nine points adrift of safety.

However, back-to-back wins have breathed new life into their battle to avoid immediate relegation back to League One.

They'll be hopeful of making it three victories on the spin against a Hull side who are in danger of getting dragged into the relegation battle themselves.

The Tigers lost top scorer Jarrod Bowen and star winger Kamil Grosicki in January and are without a win since New Year's Day.

  16. Beleaguered Boro seek Leeds liftpublished at 19:27 Greenwich Mean Time 26 February 2020

    Middlesbrough v Leeds (19:45 BST)

    Jonathan WoodgateImage source, Rex Features
    Image caption,

Jonathan Woodgate came through the academy at Leeds United and made 104 league appearances for the Whites

To say that Middlesbrough are struggling for form right now would be an understatement.

Boro have played the division's bottom three in their past three games, taken one point and recorded three shots on target across the trio of matches.

Jonathan Woodgate's men are now winless since 1 January and defeat by Leeds, coupled with a Wigan win at Reading, could see them slip into the relegation zone.

So it's less than ideal for them that they face a promotion-chasing Leeds side who have recovered well from their own recent bad form to record successive wins.

Victory for the Whites, who hammered Boro 4-0 at Elland Road in November, could see them finish the day six points clear of third.

Leeds will have to do without midfielder Kalvin Phillips who has been ruled out with a knock picked up in the win over Reading on Saturday.

    West BromImage source, Rex Features

Leaders West Brom continued their march towards top-flight football with a 2-0 win over play-off chasing Preston at The Hawthorns.

The Baggies are now 10 points clear of third.

Luton moved off the bottom with an impressive 2-1 victory against high-flying Brentford, while Bristol City's own play-off ambitions were dealt a blow at Huddersfield with defeat.

Nottingham Forest moved up to third following a one-goal victory at Cardiff and QPR beat Derby thanks to Ilias Chair's winner.

    Championship bottom sixImage source, .

Barnsley may have recorded back-to-back wins, but Luton's upturn in fortunes over the last couple of weeks and last night's surprise victory against Brentford saw the Tykes fall to the bottom.

Victory tonight at a Hull side which has not won since New Year's Day would keep them in touch of safety.

Stoke, Middlesbrough and Wigan all play this evening and any one of the three could end the night in the relegation zone.

  20. Leeds looking over shoulderpublished at 19:20 Greenwich Mean Time 26 February 2020

    Middlesbrough v Leeds (19:45 GMT)

    Championship top sixImage source, .

Leeds will be desperate to make it three wins on the bounce at struggling Middlesbrough to re-open the six-point gap to third.

West Brom have found their form again after a wobble around Christmas and it now seems to be a case of who's joining their promotion party.

Fulham could go back up to third if they pick up three points against Swansea.
