Righto. That's the Scottish Cup out of the way until April and we have two fantastic semi-finals to look forward to.

The Edinburgh teams have a dress rehearsal on Tuesday at Easter Road and there are another five matches in the Premiership to come on Wednesday.

Looking ahead to the semi-finals in April, Celtic boss Neil Lennon adds: "I'm sure myself and Derek (McInnes) will have wanted to avoid each other until the final. But we'll cross that bridge when we come to it. We're just delighted to be in the semi-final and Aberdeen are a top, top team with a top manager so it'll be as tough as they come.

"Hearts had a great win last night, Hibs are playing really well, so it didn't matter. If you're going to win the cup you've got to beat everything that's put in front of you. The next obstacle in front of us is a really tough Aberdeen team.

"I think there's more to come from this team, I've said they can get better and that's what we'll look to do. Europe's finished unfortunately, but we've still got a lot of trophies to play for."

Celtic manager Neil Lennon speaking to BBC Radio Scotland: "It was a tough game in tough conditions. I don't think we played as well as we can in the first half but I thought we dominated the game in some parts in the second.

"I thought we thoroughly deserved the win. Off the back of their efforts on Thursday night it's a really important win. We've got a lot to play for still, and the players showed good resilience out there, and good mental strength to get through and win the tie."

What about the other semi-final? Celtic have won their last five matches against Aberdeen and are unbeaten in the past nine meetings.

Celtic beat the Dons in the 2017 Scottish Cup final and the same thing happened in the League Cup finals in 2016-17 and 2018-19.

St Johnstone boss Tommy Wright is proud of his players but is feeling the pain of defeat.

"I thought we deserved a replay," he tells BBC Sportsound. "We were excellent and created a lot of good opportunities, particularly in the first half. We went toe-to-toe with them, which isn't easy and we were causing them problems.

"It was a cracking cup tie but we were the losers and that's not nice.

"Overall, we gave a lot and ended up with nothing.

"We have to be disappointed with the goal. The set-up was wrong and we need to look at that."

Hibs and Hearts meet at Easter Road on Tuesday. We've had one away win apiece in the Edinburgh derbies so far this season.

Hearts fans will no doubt be casting up the last meeting at Hampden, a thumping 5-1 victory in the 2012 final.

There are sure to be calls for the Edinburgh derby semi to be moved to Murrayfield but it will probably get played at noon at Hampden or some other daft time.

The Scottish FA aren't going to cough up any cash to their rugby colleagues unless they really have to.

Aberdeen have been on the wrong end in a fair few semis and finals against Celtic of late.

So, that's a 34th successive win for Celtic in domestic cup competitions. Can anyone stop them?

If they make it 36, the Scottish Cup will be theirs for the fourth year in a row.

Celtic duo Ryan Christie and Christopher Jullien are doing their TV interview and the big French defender graciously admits he didn't get a touch on the former's free kick.
