"They’ve got some very good players and you could argue they’re better away from home. Jude Bellingham is a phenomenal player.

"For a kid at 16 years of age to show that personality is incredible really. We have to be mindful of their quality."

  4. 'Suffering makes you better'published at 13:55 Greenwich Mean Time 2 March 2020

Leicester v Birmingham (Wed, 19:45 GMT)

On the subject of being beaten by the Premier League's bottom club, Rodgers believes it is an experience his side will benefit from.

"Suffering makes you better," said the former Liverpool and Celtic boss.

"This is the great challenge at this part of the season. We have to be able to learn from this if we’re going to be in this part of the table.

"Nothing beats experience than experience. They’ve gone through it now. We were given some harsh lessons in some of the games, but we’ve responded to that before."

"Likewise, in attack, the speed of our game needs to be faster. We have to play better and we’re working very hard to do that."

Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti will find out by Wednesday whether he will be punished for being sent off afterSunday's draw with Manchester United.

The Football Association (FA) will assess the referee's report before deciding on any action, which could be a warning, a fine, or even a ban.

The Italian approached Chris Kavanagh at full-time after Dominic Calvert-Lewin's late goal had been disallowed.

Justsaying: Just wondering if Jose has mentioned the hardship of having 24hrs less time than Norwich to prepare for their midweek fixture, like he did when Spurs played Southampton. It's so embarrassing having such a moaner as a manager.

  14. 'Club and fans should be excited'published at 13:18 Greenwich Mean Time 2 March 2020

Reading v Sheffield United (Tue, 20:00 GMT)

Whatever the outcome of tomorrow night's tie with Reading, Sheffield United have been on a great run this season.

The Blades are only five points off fourth-placed Chelsea in the Premier League and have a good chance of progressing further in the FA Cup.

Wilder believes everyone connected with the club should feel enthusiastic for the final few months of the season.

“11 league games left and an opportunity of getting to a quarter final.

"Rightly so there should be excitement running through the club, from supporters, to office staff, to players to managers, and it is.” Wilder said.

Sheffield United take on Championship side Reading in their FA Cup fifth-round tie tomorrow night.

Is the Blades boss travelling to the Madejski Stadium with a full strength squad?

“We’ve got a couple of injuries, waiting on Enda Stevens," Wilder said.

"He’ll be fit for Saturday if he misses Tuesday. Whatever team we select I believe is going to be good enough to win a difficult FA Cup tie.”

I asked Jurgen Klopp whether he had a message for paranoid Liverpool fans who may be worried about the league potentially being postponed because of Coronavirus.

He said: "Liverpool fans aren’t silly enough to believe these things."

Gumbo74: I agree with Pep, no one will match this run. However that is probably because everyone else follows the rules of FFP. Having TWO of the best squads in world football (with money no object) enables you to fight on several fronts.

  19. Klopp dismisses question about Liverpool rhythmpublished at 12:58 Greenwich Mean Time 2 March 2020

Chelsea v Liverpool (Tue, 19:45 GMT)

Asked about Liverpool's rhythm, Klopp said: "It's all good. there are so many explanations about the defeat. I cannot now deliver interesting answers.

"They didn't play well, that’s the truth. Watford had situations where they were better. It’s about mindset in moments and concentration levels. It was a very difficult game. They defended in 6-3-1 which is allowed but quite a challenge to play against."

  20. 'Watford loss has nothing to do with FA Cup team'published at 12:53 Greenwich Mean Time 2 March 2020

Chelsea v Liverpool (Tue, 19:45 GMT)

On that defeat by Watford, Klopp was asked if it would affect his team selection.

"The defeat has nothing to do with line up tomorrow night," he said. "We have no clue what Chelsea are doing, they don't know what we are doing. We always play with a team which gives us best chance to reach next round."
