They look so evenly matched.

In Henrik Larsson and John Hartson, Celtic have two strikers with a wonderful talent to control the ball with their backs to goal, even when Rangers defenders are breathing down their necks. Can they hold it up or lay it off for the likes of Stilian Petrov to run on to?

Peter Lovenkrands is next to feel the force of this Celtic team as Bobo Balde thunders into an aerial challenge from behind. Again, Hugh Dallas keeps his cards in his pocket. Which team has the greater skill and appetite to push for the lead?

Celtic goalkeeper Rab Douglas makes a fine save from Peter Lovenkrands' volley from 10 yards to keep this pulsating final even. Seconds later John Hartson slaps a flailing arm across the head of Rangers defender Craig Moore but gets nothing more than a ticking off by Hugh Dallas.

He's a handful, the big Welsh striker. John Hartson served a warning just a moment before heading in the opener, as he turned Maurice Ross and crossed into the box. He looks really up for this match, feeding off the atmosphere.

Chris Sutton, playing in defence this afternoon, knows what Claudio Caniggia can do if he gets in front of goal and makes a bruising challenge on the great Argentine. The veteran striker is lying on the turf in agony as the Rangers physio gets to work.

It's such a pity Scotland won't be at this summer's World Cup. When you look at Paul Lambert and Barry Ferguson, those are players who could grace any international tournament. Paul Lambert isn't at his fittest this afternoon, but he's doing well to close down Ferguson so far.

Didier Agathe must surely have little rockets in those boots. After a quiet start to the final, the wing-back charges down the right twice in as many minutes, slicing the first delivery wide and over-running the second. That's a warning to Rangers. You wouldn't like to be up against him chasing a ball over the top.

Celtic midfielder Alan Thompson clatters Rangers rampaging defender Fernando Ricksen and has to help defend a free-kick 25 yards from goal. The Celtic wall looks rather porous but Rangers can't capitalise as Neil McCann floats a left-footed effort a foot or so over the Celtic bar.

Ronald de Boer is playing with a sore toe but it hasn't stopped him thundering into a challenge with Celtic's Neil Lennon in midfield. He has power to match his evident class.

Players' player of the year Lorenzo Amoruso, a favourite of the Rangers fans, is the first to threaten goal. Claudio Caniggia wins a free kick on the right, skipper Barry Ferguson dinks one into the box and the big Italian heads over Rab Douglas's crossbar. That was a decent chance.

This Celtic team is full of muscle, with bruisers like John Hartson, Bobo Balde and Stiliyan Petrov, but there's no shortage of skill either. They can play. Rangers are going for pace up front. It's going to be an intriguing match.
