  1. CLOSE!published at 18:49 British Summer Time 24 June 2020

    Wolves 0-0 Bournemouth

Where there is Adama Traore there is hope. Brilliant again as he runs at Nathan Ake, backs him up and then leaves him on his backside with a bodyswerve and then he lashes in a shot from 18 yards whch skims the bar.

    Unlucky!

  2. HALF-TIMEpublished at 18:48 British Summer Time 24 June 2020

    Newcastle 0-0 Aston Villa

And that's the first half in Newcastle. Plenty of chances. No goals.

  3. YELLOW CARDpublished at 18:48 British Summer Time 24 June 2020

    Newcastle 0-0 Aston Villa

Bit of argy bargy from Jamaal Lascelles in the box as Villa line-up a free-kick. Douglas Luiz can't take it, reacts and gets a yellow.

    Settle down boys.

  4. HALF-TIMEpublished at 18:48 British Summer Time 24 June 2020

    Norwich 0-0 Everton

  5. CLOSE!published at 18:48 British Summer Time 24 June 2020

    Norwich 0-0 Everton

Strike! Lukas Rupp really gets hold of an effort from outside the area, plenty of swerve on the ball but Jordan Pickford is able to punch it out.

  6. 'Ancelotti needs interval'published at 18:48 British Summer Time 24 June 2020

    Norwich 0-0 Everton

    Martin Keown
Former England defender on BBC Two

Carlo Ancelotti needs the half time break to get into his team a bit. They need to get more possession in the tip of the midfield and get the ball into the front two.

  8. CLOSE!published at 18:46 British Summer Time 24 June 2020

    Newcastle 0-0 Aston Villa

Matt Ritchie forces a decent save out of Orjan Nyland with a long range effort. The keeper had to palm it away to his left and it was moving in the air.

We could just do that for three points instead of bothering with Wolves v Newcastle?

    All in favour say aye.

I'd love to see a 100m race between Adama Traore and Allan Saint-Maximin. Box office.

  10. goal

GOAL - Man Utd 2-0 Sheffield Unitedpublished at 18:44 British Summer Time 24 June 2020

    Anthony Martial (43 mins)

Aaron Wan-Bissaka gets the better of Enda Stevens on the right and pulls it back across the six-yard box.

Anthony Martial hits it first time and much like his first goal, buries it out of reach from the keeper.

He's looking very sharp! Two great pieces of movement and two clinical finishes.

Quality from DCL, takes it on the chest and works out wide before putting in a fine left-footed cross which Richarlison is very close to meeting on the stretch.

Mark M: Good to see Joelinton getting in and about it tonight. Hopefully he picks up where he left off on Sunday.

  13. New jobpublished at 18:42 British Summer Time 24 June 2020

    Man Utd 1-0 Sheffield United

    Simon Stone
    BBC Sport at Old Trafford

When that Sheffield United corner went straight out for a goal-kick just then it was retrieved by one of the Manchester United staff members stationed behind the goal-line.

He dutifully sprayed it with disinfectant and put it back on a tee for David de Gea to pick up next time he needs it.

I doubt the guy expected he would be doing that at the start of the season.

  14. YELLOW CARDpublished at 18:42 British Summer Time 24 June 2020

    Wolves 0-0 Bournemouth

Another one - David Brooks is playing in a cast on his arm and now he's holding it gingerly after Ruben Neves brings him down. He's booked.

More bookings than good passes at the moment.

Lys Mousset looked set to be coming off with an injury but he's trooping on. Oliver McBurnie was stripped and ready to go but he'll have to wait.

  16. 'First half lacking chances'published at 18:40 British Summer Time 24 June 2020

    Norwich 0-0 Everton

    Dean Ashton
Former Norwich striker on MOTDx Watchalong

This first half has followed the same pattern as the other games since the restart. There has been endeavour but it's lacked chances, lacked goals and seems very cautious like a lot of the other games.

  17. YELLOW CARDpublished at 18:40 British Summer Time 24 June 2020

    Wolves 0-0 Bournemouth

Callum Wilson is the latest Bournemouth man to go into the book, you can't accuse them of not putting it in today. He's late on Rui Patricio and you can't challenge goalkeepers like that. Ball was there to be won.

  18. Postpublished at 18:39 British Summer Time 24 June 2020

    Newcastle 0-0 Aston Villa

    Neil Lennon
    Celtic manager on 5 Live

It's outstanding defending by Tyrone Mings. It's a great tackle. It's a big mistake by Kortney Hause, that's the danger though for Aston Villa. They've had all the possession but it only takes one lapse in concentration and teams will punish you at this level.

  19. CLOSE!published at 18:39 British Summer Time 24 June 2020

    Newcastle 0-0 Aston Villa

    What a tackle!!!

Tyrone Mings has literally saved a goal. Joelinton is away in the box and fires one with power at goal from about eight yards out.

Mings dives and sticks a right leg in front of it, deflecting it wide for a corner.

  20. CLOSE!published at 18:38 British Summer Time 24 June 2020

    Newcastle 0-0 Aston Villa

Jonjo Shelvey plays a lovely ball over to Allan Saint-Maximin on the right. He skips past two defenders and fizzes a very dangerous ball across the face of the six-yard box.

Nobody gets on the end of it. That was BEGGING for a touch. Anything.
