  2. Postpublished at 61 mins

    Cardiff 1-0 Leeds

Leeds full-back Stuart Dallas tries his luck from a long way out and his effort is deflected behind by Sean Morrison.

The corner is eventually crossed in for Patrick Bamford to knock down for Tyler Roberts and it takes a great save from Alex Smithies to deny the Wales international.

  3. YELLOW CARDpublished at 57 mins

    Cardiff 1-0 Leeds

A great burst out of defence from Leandro Bacuna ends just past the halfway line as Leeds forward Tyler Roberts trips him up and is booked for his troubles.

    The free-kick comes to nothing.

    Cardiff 1-0 Leeds

This would be just the second home win of the weekend in the Championship if it ends like this.

Cardiff have defended well and been the beneficiaries of a couple of pieces of good fortune thus far.

You'd imagine they'll need luck to remain on their side if they're to keep Leeds out for the full 90 here.

A rare foray forward from the hosts ends with Callum Paterson heading wide from Joe Ralls' cross.

The Scot had got himself away from his marker and maybe should have hit the target from 10 yards out or so.

Leeds must still be wondering how they are behind in this game.

It seemed like just a matter of time before they opened the scoring before Junior Hoilett made the most of a Kalvin Phillips error to put Cardiff ahead before the break.

The visitors have been on top since but are yet to create a clear opening this half.

    Cardiff 1-0 Leeds

A few very heavy challenges around the halfway line.

The referee lets the first couple go before eventually giving a free-kick to the hosts.

David: Both West Brom and Leeds owe plenty of thanks to Brentford at this point. If that game yesterday went the other way, they'd have much more reason to worry about falling to third...

Kyle: Leeds have played some lovely football in the first half - if they carry on it should be only a matter of time before they equalise. Cardiff so far have defended superbly too and the goal was clinical from them.

    No changes at the break.

If this is the first game you've watched or followed since football came back, then just a quick reminder that teams can now use five substitutes.

    HT: Cardiff 1-0 Leeds

The hosts lead at the break thanks to Junior Hoilett's fine strike.

As it stands the Bluebirds will be going level on points with sixth-placed Preston and Leeds will be blowing the chance to go back to the top of the Championship.

Can Cardiff's defence keep the visitors at bay or are Leeds going to turn this around?

A poignant celebration for Junior Hoilett and Cardiff, paying tribute to club legend Peter Whittingham, who died in March aged 35.

The Bluebirds winger gave the hosts an unexpected lead 10 minutes before the break.

It had been all Leeds prior to that and but for Patrick Bamford's inadvertent block they'd have levelled just before the break through Jack Harrison.

Cardiff going level with sixth-placed Preston as it stands.

    Oh Patrick Bamford!

Leeds carve the hosts open and the ball is cut back for Jack Harrison, his shot seems set to nestle in the bottom corner but team-mate Bamford can not get out of the way.

Even worse than that, he's offside.

Cardiff will be very happy. Leeds have had the possession, but Cardiff have looked good defensively, they've been brilliant.

Sean Morrison is reading the game well and Cardiff look fit and well.

There is plenty of time yet mind, let's steady ourselves, because Leeds are a good side.

Albert Adomah is booked for a high boot on Leeds full-back Stuart Dallas and seconds later fellow winger Junior Hoilett joins him in the book for pulling back Luke Ayling on the other side.

    Cardiff 1-0 Leeds

For anyone interested that is the first goal Leeds have conceded in six games, having won their past five without conceding.

I was just typing it is attack v defence when Junior Hoilett scored against the run of play for the hosts.

It was a sloppy mistake from Leeds midfielder Kalvin Phillips, who is normally so reliable with his distribution.

    WOW.

It has been ALL Leeds for the past 20 minutes of this game but it is Cardiff who get the first goal of the game.

Kalvin Phillips gives the ball away on the halfway line and Junior Hoilett latches on to it, runs forward, throws in a stepover and thumps home brilliantly with his left foot from 20 yards.

    Leeds need to respond now.

    Cardiff 0-0 Leeds

So close to the opener for Leeds!

Kalvin Phillips swings in a corner from the left and Luke Ayling's flick on looks like it's just going to drift in at the far post before Will Vaulks acrobatically clears it away from the line.

  19. Postpublished at 29 mins

    Cardiff 0-0 Leeds

Cardiff are really having to weather a storm here.

Leeds midfielder Mateusz Klich is played in inside the area but on his wrong foot he has to play it back out wide.

Leeds will go top and, more importantly, 10 points clear of third-placed Fulham with a win here today.

    Cardiff 0-0 Leeds

Leeds pick up where they left off.

A Jack Harrison cross is only cleared as far as Mateusz Klich on the edge of the area.

The Poland international attempts to pass it in but it's blocked before the flag goes up for offside against Patrick Bamford in the middle as he fights for the scraps.
