    Millwall 1-0 Swansea

Good football from Millwall gets Jed Wallace on the ball in the Swansea box.

He takes a touch past Freddie Woodman but the angle is narrow and he doesn't have much support.

His attempted pull-back is blocked behind by Ben Wilmot.

    Barnsley v Blackburn (18:00 BST)

Barnsley remain at the foot of the table but have been revived after lockdown by Gerhard Struber.

Back-to-back defeats before the suspension left the Tykes seven points from safety, but a win at QPR and a point against Millwall has put the South Yorkshire outfit four points from 21st place.

Barnsley have tightened up at the back, keeping five clean sheets in their past seven games, but have struggled at Oakwell this season.

They have won just five games on home turf - a division low - and have scored just twice in their past six games at home.

Visitors Blackburn are still in with a sniff of the play-offs, but defeat at in-form Wigan left Rovers four points off the top six heading into this one.

  3. CLOSE!published at 17:30 British Summer Time 30 June 2020

    Millwall 1-0 Swansea

    What an amazing clearance!

Millwall centre-back Jake Cooper hooks the ball over his own bar from two yards out.

Rhian Brewster's effort from a knock-down was heading goalwards and that looked like it would be an equaliser for the Swans.

  4. YELLOW CARDpublished at 17:27 British Summer Time 30 June 2020

    Millwall 1-0 Swansea

Swansea midfielder George Byers goes into the book for a late challenge on Shaun Williams, who had flicked the ball past him.

    Cardiff v Charlton (18:00 BST)

    Nathaniel Mendez-LaingImage source, Rex Features

Just five Championship teams have 100% records since the restart, and two of that select bunch meet at the Cardiff City Stadium.

Back-to-back wins have lifted the Bluebirds into the top six, as Neil Harris looks to lead the Welsh side back to the Premier League at the first time of asking.

Charlton had slipped into the relegation zone for the first time this season when the campaign was halted, with boss Lee Bowyer vocalising his opposition to any plan to end the campaign on a points-per-game basis during lockdown,

He has been vindicated in his beliefs, with wins over Hull and QPR since the resumption lifting the Addicks three points clear of trouble.

But, with both sides needing the points this evening, this one could be a fiercely-fought encounter.

GOAL: Millwall 1-0 Swanseapublished at 17:22 British Summer Time 30 June 2020

    Mason Bennett (21 mins)

Out of nothing, Millwall have the lead from a rapid counter-attack.

The Lions win possession on halfway and suddenly have a four-on-three.

There's masses of space on the right for Jed Wallace to run into. Ben Wilmot does well to block his first ball into the box but Wallace picks up the pieces.

He gets back to the byline and then cuts the ball back to Mason Bennett, who is steaming in to fire into the roof of the net from close range.

It's the Derby loanee's first goal in a Lions shirt since joining in January.

    Millwall 0-0 Swansea

Millwall centre-back Murray Wallace gets on the end of a free-kick into the Swansea box, but he's stretching and can't get his effort to trouble visiting keeper Freddie Woodman.

We've had 20 minutes at The Den and Yan Dhanda's free-kick is the only shot of note so far.

It must be said that The Den is lacking its usual intimidating atmosphere without fans.

Swansea have settled well and midfielder Conor Gallagher has just had a shot from the edge of the area deflected just wide of the post.

Looking ahead to the games starting at 18:00 BST, everything has been pretty rosy for Brentford since the restart.

The Bees won at fellow play-off challengers Fulham in their first game back, then cut the gap to the automatic promotion places by beating then-leaders West Brom on Friday.

Thomas Frank's side travel to Berkshire looking to go two points off the top two as they chase a place in the top flight for the first time since 1946-47.

Reading have taken just one point from their two games back, drawing against Stoke and then losing at Derby on Saturday despite a spirited performance.

The mid-table Royals are without defender Matt Miazga, who starts a three-match ban after a set-to with Tom Lawrence after the final whistle at Pride Park.

    Millwall 0-0 Swansea

Yan Dhanda takes the free kick, and it's straight at the keeper.

But Lions stopper Bartosz Bialkowski punches the ball away, and the Swans have a corner.

The Welsh side then appeal for a penalty after Andre Ayew goes down in the box trying to get on the end of a ball in, but the referee isn't having it.

Rhian Brewster is ok to continue for the visitors.

  12. YELLOW CARDpublished at 17:07

    Millwall 0-0 Swansea

Millwall captain Shaun Hutchinson gets a yellow card for tripping Swansea striker Rhian Brewster as the on-loan Liverpool man chased a ball forward.

It's about 25 yards out from goal and it was an accidental collision.

Brewster needs a bit of treatment before the free-kick is taken.

  13. Postpublished at 17:05 British Summer Time 30 June 2020

    Millwall 0-0 Swansea

This is Millwall, south-east London and proud.

So someone has obviously ordered a cardboard cut-out of HM The Queen wearing a Lions shirt to be placed in the stands.

Well, the pre-match song does say 'Let 'em all come down to The Den'...

The hosts have a free-kick out wide left in the opening stages, but the delivery goes all the way across the box and behind.

There will be a minute's silence ahead of kick-off in memory of former Millwall Under-23 player Christian Mbulu.

The Morecambe defender died last month at the age of 23.

The Lions warmed up in t-shirts showing a photo of Mbulu, and are also wearing black armbands for this game.

Millwall were two points off the top six heading into the restart, following an impressive 3-0 win at Nottingham Forest in their final game before lockdown.

But the Lions have taken just one point since the season resumed, leaving them five points off the play-offs.

Swansea City were among the early pace-setters this season but the Welsh side have slipped down the table in 2020.

The Swans won at Middlesbrough in their first game back but a home defeat by Luton has dented their play-off aspirations.

Steve Cooper's men are a point better off than their hosts, but have won just one of their past five games.

Both sides need a result to stay on the coat-tails of sixth-placed Cardiff, and team news is on the way from The Den.

Our first game this evening features two clubs who will be desperate to keep in touch with the play-offs.

Ahead of the resumption, 10 clubs from 4th-placed Brentford down to QPR in 13th were separated by 10 points.

The table has spread out slightly in the two rounds of action since the restart, and Millwall and their visitors Swansea City have found themselves dropping away from the top six.

With Cardiff and Blackburn in action later, both the Lions and the Swans could do with all three points to stay in the mix.

We've had two rounds of games since the Championship restarted on 20 June, and now the action comes thick and fast.

The final seven match days are spread over 23 days, with clubs playing every midweek and every weekend from now until the end of the campaign.

That allows teams to take big strides up the table if they can grind out results, while others are falling out of promotion contention or into danger.

Three of the top five are playing among the the seven games tonight, and the first of those begins in just 15 minutes.
