Cristiano Ronaldo hasn't seen too much of the ball yet but he is brought down by Jacopo Petriccione as he tries to turn the Lecce man on the left side of the box. Paulo Dybala sends the free-kick into the area but the visitors clear.

    Juventus 0-0 Lecce

Good stuff from Lecce at the moment. Their five-man defence is leaving Juventus' attacking options limited while they've looked to break quickly when in possession.

Juventus haven't had a sight of goal yet.

Blaise Matuidi, playing left back tonight, drifts central and Lecce spot the space down the flank but are unable to take advantage before the hosts get back into shape.

However, it is Lecce with the first real chance on goal as a nice move ends with Andrea Rispoli firing just over.

Right then, the players are out on the pitch, the substitutes are sat, socially distanced, in the stands with their masks on.

Everything is in position and good to go for a bit of Friday night football.

Music was blaring out at the near-empty Allianz Stadium as the players were warming up earlier.

Not hearing the atmosphere build as fans take to their seats is still taking some getting used to.

I think this is a crucial period for Maurizio Sarri. He has the backing of the club. But he has to be a credible manager at Juventus and that relates to getting results on the pitch and how he manages the superstars at the club.

All that considered the next few weeks are pretty important for him.

  12. Lazio slip uppublished at 20:32 British Summer Time 26 June 2020

Lazio will have a game in hand after tonight but regardless, a seven-point gap could well deal a psychological blow to the title hopefuls.

While Juventus marked their return to Serie A action with a 2-0 win at Bologna, Lazio blew the chance to stay in touch with their title rivals by letting slip a two-goal lead to lose 3-2 to Atalanta.

Juventus will surely fancy making it two wins from two since the restart - and a fifth in a row - against a Lecce side that is currently sat inside the relegation zone.

When the Serie A season restarted, it looked like Juventus had a real fight on their hands to defend the league title.

Lazio were just one point behind the Old Lady and a side in form before the season was suspended because of the Coronavirus outbreak.

But, barely a week into the restart, Juventus are now four points clear at the top.

That could become seven points clear in just a few hours.
