  2. Postpublished at 21 mins

    Athletic Bilbao 0-0 Real Madrid

  5. Postpublished at 17 mins

    Athletic Bilbao 0-0 Real Madrid

Something has happened. Athletic Bilbao almost take the lead. Unai Lopez hits an excellent deep cross from the right towards veteran Raul Garcia, but his header is saved by Thibaut Courtois.

    Athletic Bilbao 0-0 Real Madrid

HUGE chance for Inaki Williams... but the offside flag goes up. A through ball is played in which Sergio Ramos misses. It lands to Williams who has to finish but somehow Marcelo dives in his way to block his shot. But it wouldn't have counted.

  12. Postpublished at 13:06 British Summer Time 5 July 2020

Marco Asensio is in Real Madrid's starting XI in a La Liga match for the first time since 12 May 2019 - a 3-1 defeat by Real Sociedad.

Marco Asensio takes the free-kick, it's not a bad effort and Unai Simon parries. Dani Carvajal gets the rebound and crosses for Karim Benzema but it's too high and hits the top of the Frenchman's head.

  14. Postpublished at 3 mins

    Athletic Bilbao 0-0 Real Madrid

Free-kick to Real, centrally about 25 yards out, as Karim Benzema is fouled by Unai Lopez.

Barcelona were top of La Liga going into the coronavirus pandemic, but Real Madrid have won all six games since the restart to take control of the title race.

"With so few games to go and with us playing every three days, you need to be really focused in everything you do," said boss Zinedine Zidane.

"It's ultimately down to the small margins. We're doing fine and I'm enjoying working with these players every single day.

"We know that we're in for another tough game and will be putting all of our energy into this match. LaLiga is a strong division and that'll be the case right until the last.

"We're on the right track but this isn't over yet. We've got five games to go and we'll be trying to keep it up."
