Let's remember that this was Atalanta's first Champions League. They've been incredibly fun to watch and to get this deep is a massive achievement. Hope they go deep when they're return next year!

  10. 'I thought we can't go home like this'published at 22:17 British Summer Time 12 August 2020

    Atalanta 1-2 Paris St-Germain

PSG hero Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting to BT Sport: "It was a crazy game. A tough game against a tough opponent. It wasn't easy. Neymar had a great game, unbelivable game but unfortunately didn't score

"I thought when I was coming on 'we can't lose, we can't go home like this'. I was confident in myself and the team. It was a little history of Paris.

"We had a good feeling in the team. We are enjoying good moments on and off the pitch. We won four trophies but this one is the most important.

"We believe in ourselves. Everyone knows we have top quality indivuals but we wanted to show it also as a team. I'm very happy we did it today.

"It's a long time and we never won the Champions League. With such a great team you have to have this ambition. We will give everything in the next game and continue to believe. It's such a big club and we will continue to believe. Football has its stories."

Amrul Choudhury: Can he do on a cold Tuesday night at Stoke? Yes he can! Can he do it on a hot summer evening in Portugal in the Champions League quarter-final, Yes he can!

lfcway: With all the superstars in #PSG team, Who would have thought a Stoke reject will turn this game around.

Adam: Devastating 20 mins ... Daughter wakes up screaming on 87 mins. As I pick her up, she pokes me straight in the eye (which is still hurting). Turns out she’s done an explosive poo. Back downstairs to find out PSG have scored twice in injury time

    That is impressively disastrous.

Qaaltagh: Not sure how anyone can take the Champions League seriously with single-legged ties to decide both the Quarter and Semi-Finals. Imagine if that was the case last season - that Liverpool comeback would never have happened. Completely farcical.

This is my fault. Two minutes before the equaliser I said it feels like PSG could be here for three hours without scoring. Sorry.
