    Legia Warsaw 0-0 Linfield

Legia haven't exactly upped the ante following the restart. Linfield have been extremely disciplined and are keeping their shape remarkably well.

Blues boss David Healy has plenty of attacking options on the bench as we approach the hour mark.

  2. YELLOW CARDpublished at 19:13 British Summer Time 18 August 2020

    Legia Warsaw 0-0 Linfield

Kirk Millar is the second player to go into the referee's notebook following a late challenge on Mladenovic.

  3. Postpublished at 19:09 British Summer Time 18 August 2020

    Legia Warsaw 0-0 Linfield

Hery works the ball to Quinn on the left-hand side but his delivery - which is usually pinpoint - disappoints on this occasion.

  4. Postpublished at 19:05 British Summer Time 18 August 2020

    Legia Warsaw 0-0 Linfield

The hosts are straight onto the front foot as Boyle - who coped well during the first half - heads another cross away.

Legia pick up possession immediately, though, and win a corner as Stafford pokes the ball behind.

  9. HALF-TIMEpublished at 18:47 British Summer Time 18 August 2020

    Legia Warsaw 0-0 Linfield

The referee brings an end to the first 45 minutes.

It's still goalless and Linfield will be reasonably content with their work so far.

Another tough 45 minutes to come.

  10. YELLOW CARDpublished at 18:45 British Summer Time 18 August 2020

    Legia Warsaw 0-0 Linfield

Hery picks up a yellow card after his flailing arm catches Luquinhas.

Having won the ball back, Linfield now must defend a set-piece in a dangerous position.

Mulgrew is perfectly placed, however, to clear the danger.

  11. SAVE!published at 18:42 British Summer Time 18 August 2020

    Legia Warsaw 0-0 Linfield

Linfield's best chance of the game falls to Stafford!

The centre-back gets on the end of Millar's free-kick but Boruc is equal to his glancing header.

Corner to Linfield - nothing comes of it.

Without speaking too soon I think that while Legia have had a couple of opportunities, David Healy (Linfield boss) will be happy with how things are going. His team are very focused and disciplined although they could be a bit better in possession.

  13. Postpublished at 18:39 British Summer Time 18 August 2020

    Legia Warsaw 0-0 Linfield

Pekhart rises to meet another cross but this time it sails over the bar.

  14. SAVE!published at 18:35 British Summer Time 18 August 2020

    Legia Warsaw 0-0 Linfield

Pekhart gets his best glimpse at goal but his header is confidently plucked out of the air by Johns.

That was an example of Pekhart's aerial prowess, though. The Legia No.9 had been reasonably quiet up to that point.

  15. Postpublished at 18:32 British Summer Time 18 August 2020

    Legia Warsaw 0-0 Linfield

Mladenovic has a pop from distance. Easy enough for Johns.

  16. Postpublished at 18:31 British Summer Time 18 August 2020

    Legia Warsaw 0-0 Linfield

Luquinhas pounces on a poor pass from Hery but is stopped brilliantly by Stafford, who times his sliding challenge to perfection on the edge of the box.

  18. Postpublished at 18:28 British Summer Time 18 August 2020

    Legia Warsaw 0-0 Linfield

Lavery intercepts a sloppy pass and drives forward but his shot is weak and dribbles well wide. Linfield are starting to look more comfortable on the ball, however, and will feel encouraged by how little Johns has had to do in the opening 28 minutes.

  19. Postpublished at 18:23 British Summer Time 18 August 2020

    Legia Warsaw 0-0 Linfield

Legia haven't been troubled in defence but Linfield are holding their own at the back. The Blues are keeping their shape well. The longer this goes on, Legia's frustration will only grow.

We've seen little glimpses on how good Legia Warsaw are in tight spaces. Linfield are throwing their bodies on the line - that's the way it's going to be.
