  1. Forwards combine wellpublished at 20:14 British Summer Time 27 August 2020

    NK Maribor 0-0 Coleraine

Coleraine have been under pressure for 10 minutes but their front two have worked hard to create a decent chance.

James McLaughlin stole possession and fed Ben Doherty who made a surging run before his shot was blocked.

Promising from the pair and much needed for their team, too.

That was a good save from Gareth Deane. That will give him confidence. Coleraine don't want to be giving away cheap free-kicks outside the box as Maribor have players who are technically gifted.

  3. Deane called into actionpublished at 20:07 British Summer Time 27 August 2020

    NK Maribor 0-0 Coleraine

Maribor have definitely wakened up here.

They've owned the ball the last five and are looking dangerous.

Aaron Traynor has had to block a shot from a corner and keeper Gareth Deane has just made a good stop from a free-kick, diving to save in the top corner from a Vilar free-kick.

  4. 'Lacking in ideas'published at 19:57 British Summer Time 27 August 2020

    Quote Message

Maribor seem devoid of ideas and don't seem sure what to expect from Coleraine, who have started well. They just don't want to hand Maribor cheap possession.

  5. So far, so good for Colerainepublished at 19:55 British Summer Time 27 August 2020

    NK Maribor 0-0 Coleraine

As far as first 10 minutes go, this has been a good one for the Irish Premiership side.

They're on the front foot, look lively and no signs of nerves so far.

They just need to be careful when Maribor break.

  6. 'Nixon an asset'published at 19:49 British Summer Time 27 August 2020

    NK Maribor 0-0 Coleraine

    Liam Beckett

    Quote Message

Stewart Nixon is very energetic and a great crosser of the ball so he is a good addition to the team. The forwards will like that as they were a bit starved of quality deliveries last week.

  7. Carson closepublished at 19:47 British Summer Time 27 August 2020

    NK Maribor 0-0 Coleraine

What a start that would have been.

    Decent chance there for Coleraine.

Josh Carson gets in at the back post but his header goes just wide.

    NK Maribor v Coleraine

Coleraine manager Oran Kearney makes just one change to the starting line-up that beat La Fiorita at home last week.

Striker Curtis Allen is unavailable due to work commitments and is replaced up front by Stewart Nixon, signed from Carrick Rangers in January.

It looks like Nixon will play wide on the left of a four-man midfield, with Ben Doherty moving to play either beside or just behind main striker James McLaughlin.

NK Maribor: Jug, Viler, Pericic, Mitrovic, Milic, Cretu, Pihler, Kramaric, Kronrueter, Matho, Mesanovic.

Subs: Handanović, Koblar, Klinar, Dervišević, Požeg Vancaš, Mlakar, Tavares.

Coleraine: Deane, Kane, Canning, Jarvis, Doherty, Lowry, McLaughlin, Carson, Nixon, O'Donnell, Traynor.

Subs: Gallagher, Bradley, Wilson, McConnaghie, Tweed, Parkhill, McGuckin.

  16. Kearney under Slo illusionspublished at 19:29 British Summer Time 27 August 2020

    NK Maribor v Coleraine

"A different animal" was how Coleraine manager Oran Kearney described his side's Europa League opponents NK Maribor.

The Bannsiders made history last week by securing the club's first win in the competition, but tonight's trip to Slovenia will be a significantly sterner test against a club that has reached the Champions League group stages in recent seasons.

Coleraine will be without striker Curtis Allen and veteran defender Steven Douglas due to work commitments, while influential forward Jamie Glackin remains unavailable due to injury.

It's a huge, huge night for the Irish Premiership runners-up (first obvious statement of the night!) and we've got you covered here with a live stream and live text commentary - with match highlights to follow later.

See you for kick-off in a bit.
