  1. Goodbye until Sunday

    FT: Finland 0-1 Wales

So that's it from us as Wales shrug off a long absence to show they are still on the upward trajectory that saw them snatch qualification to Euro 2020 despite it looking unlikely at one stage.

Ryan Giggs' young side seem to be growing together and there were plenty of positives on a night where Ethan Ampadu, Joe Morrell, Kieffer Moore and Dan James all shone.

Yes, Finland missed a sitter, but other than that, Wales can be very satisfied with their efforts and are now seven games unbeaten.

Shall we do it all again? Let's say Sunday afternoon shall we?

Wales v Bulgaria, match day two in the Nations League from the Cardiff City Stadium.

Until then, take care and stay safe.

  2. Bale substitution was part of plan - Giggs

    FT: Finland 0-1 Wales

    Ryan Giggs

Wales manager Ryan Giggs told Sky Sports: "I thought it was a gritty performance, not our usual flowing football but credit to Finland they made it difficult.

"We had chances early on and if they counted we could have gone on and scored more but it was the type of game we can learn from.

"I always say with a clean sheet you always have a chance, and the players we have produced again.

"[Bale coming off] was planned beforehand. Gareth has had the least amount of football of anyone.

"With Sunday in mind it was best to bring him off and give Harry Wilson some minutes too."

  3. Three points the most important thing

    FT: Finland 0-1 Wales

Wales goalscorer Kieffer Moore told Sky Sports: "I’m loving my football. To get the three points, it’s always nice to get on the scoresheet. Those three points are going to be vital for us.

"We've been working on breaking fast, Dan [James] has broke down the left and I found myself in the easy position to tuck the ball away, he did the hard work.

"I'm glad I kept going, I kept my concentration and it was all about taking the chance when it came."

  5. Bright future for Wales

    FT: Finland 0-1 Wales

    Nathan Blake

Former Cardiff and Wales striker on BBC Radio Wales

It was a great result, a young team, a chance to blood some new names.

The future looks bright for Wales, a big congratulations Kieffer Moore, I thought he was man of the match.

And congratulations to Ryan Giggs and long may it continue.

  6. Post update

    FT: Finland 0-1 Wales

Ryan Giggs' Wales are now seven games unbeaten as they shook off their longest absence from playing since 1924 to beat Finland.

  7. FULL-TIME - Finland 0-1 Wales

    Wales celebrate

That's it! Wales hold on and earn three points. What a great start to their Nations League campaign as Kieffer Moore's goal proves enough.

Wales have won three on the bounce for the first time under Ryan Giggs.

  8. Post update

    Finland 0-1 Wales

A late corner, Finland send up the goalkeeper, but Wales defend it well. Seconds remain.

  9. SUBSTITUTION

    Finland 0-1 Wales

Another debut. Ben Cabango on to replace Dan James.

A big moment for the young Swansea defender.

  10. Post update

    Finland 0-1 Wales

We are into three minutes of stoppage time.

  11. Post update

  13. YELLOW CARD

    Finland 0-1 Wales

  14. CLOSE!

    Finland 0-1 Wales

That could have been it and that could have been a dream debut....

Joe Morrell drifts a ball to the back post and Neco Williams gets there before his marker, but he prods the ball just wide.

  15. Post update

    Finland 0-1 Wales

At 0-0 Wales' lack of chances in the second half looked concerning.

At 1-0 up, it looks like controlled possession from an ever-maturing side.

  16. Moore key for Wales

    Finland 0-1 Wales

    Nathan Blake

Former Cardiff and Wales striker on BBC Radio Wales

    Really good goal from Wales.

It's a simple ball in behind for Dan James to use his pace and he put the ball across for Kieffer Moore who can't miss from there.

He's key for Wales at the moment.

  17. GOAL: Finland 0-1 Wales

    Kieffer Moore

    Wales lead!

They finally engineer some space for Dan James and his cross is absolutely perfect for Kieffer Moore to tap home from close range.

  18. SUBSTITUTION

Thomas Lam replaces Tim Sparv in a change for the hosts.

  19. Post update

    Finland 0-0 Wales

We have 15 minutes for either side to find a winner.

Wales haven't created a chance this half, mind.
