PRK: Giroud deserves a contract extension and deserves to start ahead of Tammy. Chelsea must not let him go in January.
Deldude: Take A Bow Monsieur Giroud. Just letting the Manager know if Timo / Abraham are shooting blanks. He is Available for crosses from left and Right. Hatrick Hero

Close by Paul Pogba. United have a free-kick which Harry Maguire heads into the path of the France midfielder, who smashes in a powerful volley just over the bar.
Sevilla 0-3 Chelsea
Olivier Giroud is the oldest player to score a hat-trick in the Champions League/European Cup since Ferenc Puskas for Real Madrid against Feyenoord in 1965.
Man Utd 1-2 PSG
A double change for both sides.
United - Donny van de Beek and Mason Greenwood for Edinson Cavani and Anthony Martial.
PSG - Rafinha and Thilo Kehrer for Alessandro Florenzi and Marco Verratti.
Man Utd 1-2 PSG
PSG are trying to kill this game off now but Ander Herrera pops a shot over from distance.
Man Utd 1-2 PSG
As things stand, United would probably be eliminated if they lose in Leipzig next week.
Sevilla 0-3 Chelsea
Bit surprised that Frank Lampard is keeping Olivier Giroud out there. He was hobbling a bit at half time but shook that off to add a couple of goals to his first-half strike. The win is in the bag so surely Lampard will want to protect his in form striker?

Complete Managerial incompetence by Solskjaer - should have subbed Fred at HT - he was already lucky to be in the pitch and Utd certs to go down to 10 men .
Frank
No sympathy for Fred. He got sent off for two reasons 1. Earlier in discretions 2. His touch is poor. If this United team want to improve he shouldn't be part of the team in the future.

There was a VAR check for the Marquinhos goal to see if it was offside - but the goal stood.
I didn't see any VAR for that second Fred yellow.
Man Utd 1-2 PSG
It's not hindsight either. Basically everybody said Fred should have been replaced at half-time (if not before).

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has only got himself to blame with this one - this was inevitable, it was going to happen after what happened in the first half. He follows through and it's one of those, it should've been a red for Fred earlier.

The Manchester United bench were screaming for the referee to use VAR.
I assume someone has checked that. Fred hung about for ages waiting for the decision to be overturned. But it wasn't.
Paul Pogba is coming on now.
Olivier Giroud (74 mins)
Hat-trick!
Textbook Olivier Giroud as he gets in between two defenders to nod in N'Golo Kante's superb cross.
Left foot, right foot, header. It's the perfect hat-trick for the striker!
Man Utd 1-2 PSG
Marcus Rashford comes off with a shoulder injury. Paul Pogba is on. Probably a tactical reshuffle coinciding with an injury.
Man Utd 1-2 PSG
It's OK everyone, Paul Pogba is getting ready.

You don't take your chances, you get punished. That's exactly what's happened here. Set piece again, United don't defend it well. Pops out to the edge of the box, Herrera strikes it and it's going wide, United don't clear their lines and the ball popped from to Abdou Diallo to Marquinhos who cannot believe his luck.
David de Gea comes out and he just pokes the ball past him and somehow, remarkably in this second half, PSG are in front. United have had the chances and PSG have barely threatened.
Man Utd 1-2 PSG
All things considered, Fred deserves to be sent off. But not for the thing he's been sent off for.
