Those changes were lined up before Spurs took the lead but I'm still a bit surprised to see the big guns on.

Spurs are on track to win the group as it stands.

  2. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at 58 mins

    Tottenham 1-0 Royal Antwerp

And that's Gareth Bale's final act.

He comes off, as does Carlos Vinicius and Harry Winks.

On come Son, Harry Kane and Tanguy Ndombele.

    BOLD changes!

GOAL - Tottenham 1-0 Royal Antwerppublished at 21:15 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2020

    Carlos Vinicius (56 mins)

What a strike from Gareth Bale!

He lines up the free-kick from about 35 yards and hits a trademark, dipping, swerving strike. It's a brilliant hit and Alireza Beiranvand does really well to scramble a save on to the crossbar.

It falls easily for Carlos Vinicius to tap in.

  4. YELLOW CARDpublished at 54 mins

    Tottenham 0-0 Royal Antwerp

Spurs haven't had a shot on target in the second half yet. It's a pretty static start as a member of Jose Mourinho's backroom staff is booked.

Why? Well, Abdoulaye Seck pulls back Lucas Moura and he was booked for doing that in the first half. The exact same challenge.

    No card.

Brendan will be much happier with his charges' work tonight - though they could have had more. Kelechi Iheanacho is the latest to threaten with a looping header that flies wide.

  6. Postpublished at 48 mins

    Tottenham 0-0 Royal Antwerp

It's not been good tonight, but it's hard to judge Spurs with such a changed side, isn't it?

Jose himself isn't happy, leaping out of his seat to give the fourth official a prime piece of his mind.

Can't see these Mourinho tactics working against Liverpool. The teams who have beaten Klopp's men have stepped up to them and attacked, only team that has sat deep and succeeded is Atletico in last year's Champions League but there was a lot of luck involved. Interesting to see if Spurs have a plan B!

Do Spurs ever practice passing down the training ground, we always look like we’re gonna fall over when the ball comes to us? Our game plan clearly is to pass the balls backwards to Hart so he can belt a long ball upfield

We're up and running and Spurs have gone to a back four.

  9. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:04 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2020

    Tottenham 0-0 Royal Antwerp

Jose Mourinho made four changes at the break last time Spurs played Antwerp. It's not that bad tonight but he does send on Steven Bergwijn for Sergio Reguilon.

Change of shape, unless Gareth Bale is rolling back the years at wing-back.

Ben Kellow: I wonder how Bale feels coming from Real Madrid and being on Spurs' second string.

DigitalTeez: How long do we wait before we can assess the Gareth Bale loan? It's been a bit subpar...

Celtic are in front as the players trot off for the interval. Christopher Jullien nodded in the opening goal and Callum McGregor converted a penalty after a Jonathan Ikone equaliser.

    Follow that one here.

Strike! Dennis Praet slams in a dipping hit from 25 yards and Panagiotis Tsintotas has to make a tip over the top.

  18. CLOSE!published at 43 mins

    Tottenham 0-0 Royal Antwerp

And Spurs should be ahead. Lucas Moura is dropping into the 10 role all the time and finds space, he has Gareth Bale running one way and sends Carlos Vinicius away down the other.

He never convinces, and his effort is a tame one and is saved easily enough.

  19. Postpublished at 43 mins

Do they have corners in the Greek league? AEK look like they've never defended one before. All over the place and Wilfred Ndidi should probably score but floats a header wide.

It sure was. Quite the squad Leicester have got these days.
