    Olympiakos 0-1 Arsenal

And indeed it is the last opportunity of the half but Arsenal have the lead and are in control.

  2. Postpublished at 20:46 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2021

    Olympiakos 0-1 Arsenal

Arsenal have a corner just before half time but it is a poor set piece as they end up playing the ball back to halfway.

That's probably wasted the last opportunity of the half.

  3. Postpublished at 20:46 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2021

    Tottenham 1-0 Dinamo Zagreb

The referee is taking no play-acting nonsense from either side. Lamela throws himself to the ground after being sandwiched between two Dinamo players before Orsic launches himself off the pitch following a tackle from Aurier. 'Get on with it' is the clear message. I approve.

Interestingly, there is a young Welsh lad on the Dinamo bench tonight. Former Arsenal trainee Robbie Burton took his chance to go to Zagreb in search of first-team football and so far it appears to be working out much better than it would likely have at the Emirates.

He's 21 apparently, but I'd think twice about serving him if he came in my pub.

Not a great deal of note happening on the pitch. Spurs looking to break down the visitors, who are holding firm.

    Olympiakos 0-1 Arsenal

Five minutes to go until half time and Arsenal are comfortable. They are knocking on the door of a second that would surely kill off the tie.

    Tottenham 1-0 Dinamo Zagreb

Erik Lamela is having a good game. He was pivotal in the goal and now charges back alongside Mislav Orsic and stops him breaking dangerously into the Spurs half with a well-timed tackle.

  7. Postpublished at 20:37 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2021

    Olympiakos 0-1 Arsenal

Only LASK and Rapid Vienna (five each) have scored more goals from outside the box than Arsenal in the Europa League this season (four)

  8. Postpublished at 20:36 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2021

    Tottenham 1-0 Dinamo Zagreb

Eric Dier is off the pitch getting his nose patched up as Dinamo chip a free-kick into the box that Lloris is able to claim.

The England defender gets a blob of Vaseline* on his conk and is soon back on.

*Other petroleum jellies are available. I think.

  9. goal

GOAL - Olympiakos 0-1 Arsenalpublished at 20:34 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2021

    Martin Odegaard (34 mins)

    Rocket!

Martin Odegaard had not been at his best in this game but this strike more than makes up for his earlier performance as he lets fly from the edge of the area and the ball flies beyond Jose Sa's hands and into the back of the net.

Sa probably should have done better but, after missing plenty of earlier chances, Arsenal finally have their away goal.

Arsenal are pressing high up the pitch still but chances are not as forthcoming as they were early on. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang plays a ball into the box, looking for Bukayo Saka but the delivery is cut out.

    Lloris tested.

It is a shot from the edge of the box by Petkovic that the home keeper is right behind to save.

Spurs go in search of a second but after releasing Ben Davies down the left the pull-back fires through the box without a touch.

Luke: Saka getting hacked at every chance as per the usual tactic from teams to stop him. Teams are just so scared of him is hilarious.

    Olympiakos 0-0 Arsenal

Martin Odegaard gives the ball away again - he's not having the best of games so far - but, fortunately for Arsenal, Olympiakos are unable to capitalise.

Having hit 25 goals for the season, Harry Kane has already surpassed his goal tally from each of his previous two seasons (24 in 2019-20 and 2018-19).

Luke: Nice to finally see Arsenal shoot from outside the box rather than try and walk it in. However, Partey is the only one, and every long-range effort I have seen of his has been utterly woeful.

Mike: Bellerin is putting in a shift this evening.

    Olympiakos 0-0 Arsenal

A third free kick from a similar distance to the last two for Arsenal.

David Luiz and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang failed to trouble the goalkeeper with the previous two so it is Grant Xhaka's turn to have a go... into the wall.

Willian to have a go next?

    Harry Kane

    Right place, right time. Again.

Erik Lamela deserves a lot of credit for this thanks to his jinking run inside the box and shot against the inside of the post.

But when the ball comes back off the woodwork, the man Spurs want waiting for it is Harry Kane, who slots home easily.

That's 25 goals for the season for the striker. It's what he does.

    Olympiakos 0-0 Arsenal

Arsenal have another free kick at a similar distance to David Luiz's one earlier. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang fancies it this and hits it with power but again straight at the goalkeeper.

Well, that's one way to do it.

Aurier sends a cross into the six-yard box to dangle the carrot for his forwards. Instead of diving on the ball, keeper Livakovic just puts his foot through the ball and belts it clear.

Think Peter Kay John Smith's advert. Have it!
