Manchester United have won only nine of their 27 home matches against Spanish visitors and just one of the past 10.
They have been eliminated from Europe by La Liga opposition in each of the past three seasons - by Sevilla in the 2017-18 Champions League last 16 and in last season's Europa League semi-final, and by Barcelona in the 2018-19 Champions League quarter-final.

Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno, speaking to BT Sport: "They are very dangerous at home but it is also a dangerous result for them, one goal and they are in big trouble.
"It is an unbelievably big game for us, we know we have the chance to win a trophy and go to the Champions League. We can save the season."

Winning the FA Cup has helped Mikel Arteta. I wonder what pressure he would be under if they hadn't won that? Not having fans in the ground would have helped him too.
But he's had to introduce a lot of young players. I'm not saying the signings have been marvellous, and players with big reputations haven't been consistent. That is their problem - you watch them some weeks and think they are going to turn the corner and then the next week it looks like they might not be bothered.
They can say they are together, but results show that there is something wrong with that team.

Is Bukayo Saka future Gunners captain material?
The winger, who has been with the Gunners since the age of seven, made his first-team debut in a Europa League tie in November 2018 and appeared in the Premier League for the first time in January.
By August last year, he was an FA Cup winner and was about to be rewarded with a new contract at Emirates Stadium. Two months later, having raced through the age groups from under-16 level, he made his full international debut in a victory over Wales.
Despite establishing himself as a regular in north London and forcing his way into Gareth Southgate's thinking for the rescheduled European Championship this summer, Saka has never forgotten his roots.

Mikel Arteta has also called on his players to step up and ensure this second leg is not the end of their European campaign.
"We've shown that in big games, big players have to step in and create the magic moments and you need that, so let's hope that we can have them," he added.
"It doesn't matter who it is but someone has to create when the team needs those moments.
"We have moments in the season where it has been the senior players and then other moments where it has been the young players."

Paul Pogba had the 'second captaincy' removed by former Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho for a perceived poor attitude.
The France star has worn the armband once for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, so it is not a major shock he gets it tonight, even though David de Gea is the longest-serving player in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's starting line-up.
It is something to go in his Amazon documentary anyway.

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has signed a deal with Amazon Prime to produce a documentary on his life.
'The Pogmentary' will give a unique insight into the 28-year-old France international's life on and off the football pitch.
The series will air in 2022.
Amazon Studios' head of European originals, Georgia Brown, said the company were "thrilled to be collaborating" with Pogba - "one of the most prominent talents of his time".

Ashwin R: For all those complaining van de beek not playing. Being a starter at Ajax is 1 thing, playing for Man Utd the level is much higher. The boy is taking time to adapt to high standards

The game is gone if it is true that United's players have been struggling because of the banners. I've never heard anything like it in my life.
If they were playing and the fans were wearing shirts or reds, do they get the passes? Where has this come from? Have they just ran out of things to talk about?
I'm sorry. At this level of football if you can't pass it to a team-mate you shouldn't be on the pitch. It is the worst excuse I've ever heard.
Man Utd v Granada (20:00 BST)
Manchester United have changed the colour of the banners covering the seats at Old Trafford from red to black in an effort to win more home games.
United have a better record away from home than at Old Trafford this season.
"We've looked into this," United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said. "There shouldn't be a reason, really, but some of the players have mentioned that split-second decision you have to make where you look over your shoulder to see if your team-mate is there or not and the red shirt is on a red background with red seats.
"You'll see a change now, if you see the banners around the club it's not red anymore."

We've seen different formations from Arsenal so let's see what it actually is when they come out.
This is a massive game for them and Mikel Arteta though - they have underachieved this season. They've got to make sure they win this competition.

Man Utd v Granada (20:00 BST)
Manchester United have made five changes from their 3-1 win at Tottenham in the Premier League on Sunday.
Captain Harry Maguire is suspended after picking up a yellow card in the first leg in Spain, as are Luke Shaw and Scott McTominay. That trio are replaced by Axel Tuanzebe, Alex Telles and Nemanja Matic.
There is also a start for David de Gea in goal, like the first leg, while Mason Greenwood replaces Marcus Rashford - who is only fit enough for a place on the bench - in the final change.
Manchester United: De Gea, Wan-Bissaka, Tuanzebe, Lindelof, Telles, Fred, Matic, Fernandes, Greenwood, Cavani, Pogba.
Subs: Grant, Henderson, Fish, Williams, Amad, James, Mata, Van de Beek, Elanga, Rashford, Shoretire.
Granada also make five changes from their 2-1 win at Real Valladolid in La Liga at the weekend.
Former Tottenham striker Roberto Soldado comes in up front, while Yangel Herrera, who is on loan from Manchester City, and Kenedy, who is on loan from Chelsea, come into midfield.
There are also starts for midfielder Angel Montoro and left-back Carlos Neva.
Granada: Rui Silva, Foulquier, Gonalons, German, Neva, Montoro, Vallejo, Herrera, Kenedy, Soldado, Machis.
Subs: Aaron, Arnau, Nehuen, L.Suarez, Puertas, Diaz, Molina, Ruiz, Torrente.
Slavia Prague v Arsenal (20:00 BST)
As we've said, Arsenal are without striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and midfielder Martin Odegaard for this crucial tie. Both were fitness doubts and have failed to recover.
The only change from Sunday's win at Sheffield United sees Emile Smith Rowe replace Gabriel Martinelli.
There's no Gabriel in defence and Granit Xhaka will again play left-back.
Arsenal: Leno, Chambers, Holding, Gabriel, Xhaka, Ceballos, Partey, Pepe, Smith Rowe, Saka, Lacazette.
Subs: Ryan, Hillson, Bellerin, Gabriel, Willian, Cedric, Nelson, Elneny, Nketiah, Martinelli, Balogun, Azeez.
Slavia make two changes from last week's draw in north London. Peter Sevcik comes in on the right wing while Jan Kuchta, who came off the bench last week, gets the nod upfront.
As with the first game, Ondrej Kudela is out as he serves his 10-game ban for racially abusing Rangers' Glen Kamara.
Slavia: Kolar, Bah, Holes, Zima, Boril, Hromada, Stanciu, Provod, Olayinka, Kuchta, Sevcik.
Subs: Stejskal, Kovar, Tecl, Sima, Oscar, Traore, Masopust, Lingr, Visinsky.
