Once more though Derby get it clear at the near post much to Forest's frustrations.

Forest struggling to find a telling pass through Derby's shape as they are forced to go crossfield or long on occasions.

Joe Lolley plays a diagonal ball from the right into the box, but no Forest player is busting a gut to try and get on the end of it.

Derby should be 2-0 up here.

Graeme Shinnie spurns a glorious chance to make it so as he is slipped in to space behind Forest's defence by Nathan Byrne on the edge of the box.

But Brice Samba stands tall and blocks well down low to his right.

Corner to Forest after Sammy Ameobi tries to combine with Lyle Taylor by driving through the middle.

Harry Arter delivers but Derby head it clear at the near post.

What's Forest's reply to that then?

Derby had been starting to build into the game before that goal so they will feel very pleased to be ahead.

He's tripped again by Sammy Ameobi on the edge of Forest's penalty box.

Kamil Jozwiak tees him up on his left on the edge of the area and his left-foot shot is always curling away from goal but does just enough to force Brice Samba to tip it wide of the right post.

Sammy Ameobi floats a cross in from the left and Ryan Yates meets it unmarked and decides to stoop for a header.

May have been better off meeting it on the volley instead as it bounces tamely wide right of the Derby goal.

Martyn Waghorn somehow evades the offside trap to get clear for Derby but then has to hold it up to allow Lee Buchanan again to deliver a cross from the left.

Derby force a first corner of the game but they can't muscle their way free in the air on a couple of occasions to get a header on target.

First booking of the night received by Forest right-back Cyrus Christie for another niggly challenge on Jason Knight as he tries to speed clear on the break.

Sammy Ameobi picks the ball up again on Forest's left and decides this time to cut inside and take a shot on his right.

A floaty one towards goal but an easy take for David Marshall in the Derby goal.

Meanwhile, Derby try to stick a ball into the area from the left wing through Lee Buchanan but there is no white shirt in there to meet it.

Joe Lolley again looking to spread the play for Forest from right to left but his raking crossfield ball has just a touch too much on it for Sammy Ameobi to reach.

Niggly in the middle third already as Forest's Sammy Ameobi snaps at the heels of Jason Knight a fraction too late and concedes a free-kick.
