Nice football again from the Champions League winners, working half a yard for Leroy Sane to try and drill an effort on goal.

The Germany winger is crowded out, but moments later Robert Lewandowski goes soaring through, one on one, but he tries to clip it over the keeper and Bono just stands tall to save.

As soon as I say that, Bayern carve Sevilla open and have a number of players waiting to get a shot off on goal.

It's Benjamin Pavard who eventually has a dig, but his right-footed drive from the corner of the box sails over.

It's been all Bayern since the goal. Undefeated in 31 games, Sevilla have woken the beast...

They're defending well, though, plenty of white shirts behind the ball, soaking up the pressure.

Bayern Munich feed it down the right and Robert Lewandowski works a pass across the face of goal to Muller, but Jules Koundé dives in to put the forward off his strike.

Lewandowski leaves it and darts into the box, and Joshua Kimmich floats a ball to the back post.

Luuk de Jong goes up to defend it and almost nods into his own net.

Bayern work it right to Leroy Sane, who has switched flanks, and then come left for David Alaba.

The defender hoists it towards the box and Ivan Rakitic lunges in to bring down Robert Lewandowski.

The prolific forward might fancy a crack from here.

Neat little link up down Sevilla's right between Suso and Jesus Navas, with the former Manchester City man looking to delve into the Bayern half.

The Spanish side have settled since that flying Bayern start.

Foul by Serge Gnabry on Lucas Ocampos, and that will give Sevilla a chance to deliver from the left of the Bayern penalty area.

Suso looks to whip it in but there are plenty of red shirts in the way to clear.

Early touch for Leroy Sane, who you would imagine must love playing in this Bayern Munich side.

The winger cuts it back across the top of the box but it allows Sevilla to regroup.

Right then, whose record will slip tonight? Treble winners Bayern are unbeaten in 31 matches, while Sevilla have not suffered defeat in 21. Something's got to give...

It might surprise you, it did me at least, to learn that Bayern Munich have only won the European Super Cup once, in 2013. Recent fixtures have been dominated by Spanish sides, who have won nine of the last 11 contests - only Bayern seven years ago and Liverpool in 2019 have interrupted that run.

The Champions League/European Cup winner has tended to come out on top in this clash though, winning the trophy on 25 occasions.

It actually feels a little strange to see and hear fans in the stadium, has it really been that long?!

Sevilla's Nemanja Gudelj has the Europa League trophy his side won tattooed on his leg, will he be evening things up with a Super Cup on his left shin after tonight's match?

There is English interest in Budapest tonight... referee Anthony Taylor is the man in the middle.
