Lukas Klostermann tries to slip in Serge Gnabry with a ball down the right but puts too much on it and it goes out of play. Right idea, though, and Gnabry applauds his team-mate's effort.

    Leon Goretzka (49 mins)

So many good saves, but this is a howler!

Georgi Bushchan has pulled off some absolute worldies but fluffs the most routine of routine catches from a cross and the ball bounces off Leon Goretzka's head and into the back of the net.

  12. Postpublished at 20:40 British Summer Time 10 October 2020

    Ukraine 0-1 Germany

Germany cannot get too excited yet. In their last three matches they have taken the lead only to end up drawing them.

They've certainly done enough to have this one out of sight but have found Georgi Bushchan in superb form in the Ukraine goal.

Thiago Alcantara has had to sit out this match having contracted coronavirus last month.

Good news, though, as his period of self-isolation is over. He had mild symptoms of the virus and has got out of the house for a stroll around his new city.
