  4. 'It was nowhere near good enough'published at 22:36 Greenwich Mean Time 2 November 2020

    FT: Fulham 2-0 West Brom

    West Bromwich Albion

West Brom manager Slaven Bilic, speaking to Sky Sports: "They were better than us in everything - in quality, commitment, everything really. We can't play like this, We have to be in the red zone, we have to be crazy, we have to be what we were in the last few days. We have to put what we do in training into the match.

"We started well then after that the commitment, engagement and taking responsibility drops. Everything starts with the work rate. It was nowhere near good enough

"It is worrying. Not the position or the points but the performance. I was optimistic before this game but not like this. Not good enough."

  5. 'We got what we deserved'published at 22:32 Greenwich Mean Time 2 November 2020

    FT: Fulham 2-0 West Brom

    Fulham

    Fulham boss Scott Parker:

We definitely got what we deserved. Overall, very, very pleased. We are going to have to force things a bit and risk the ball at times.

The clean sheet was vitally important. I think we looked very solid in managing the game. Overall, we did a lot of things very well.

We are definitely maturing and definitely improving. We got a result and it is brilliant but we have to keep moving forward.

  6. 'We were amazing right across the team'published at 22:29 Greenwich Mean Time 2 November 2020

    FT: Leeds 1-4 Leicester

    Leicester City

Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers, speaking to Sky Sports: "I thought we were technically brilliant. You have to deny Leeds space and if it becomes a basketball game they have shown they will cause you problems so we had to deny the space.

"We had the quality to play when we had the opportunities and I thought we were amazing right across the team - it was a really good team performance. This team has got an amazing mentality with lots of young, hungry players.

"I know we have quality in the final third and I'm really pleased with the flexibility and how we are improving. It's still very early and most of our games have been away but we've had brilliant performances and I'm delighted.

"When you are in Europe and want to be competing in the Premier League your squad is so important. We knew this was going to be a tough game and physically we were very good."

  7. 'We can learn from this'published at 22:26 Greenwich Mean Time 2 November 2020

    FT: Leeds 1-4 Leicester

    Leeds United

Stuart Dallas became the first Northern Irish player to score for Leeds United in the top-flight since Nigel Worthington against West Ham in December 1994.

He told Sky Sports: "There is a lot we can learn from this game. There are lots of things we can work on.

"In the first half we played below the standards we have set ourselves."

  8. 'My players were brilliant'published at 22:23 Greenwich Mean Time 2 November 2020

    FT: Leeds 1-4 Leicester

    Leicester City

Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers, speaking to BBC Sport:

I thought my players were brilliant. We had to be tactically disciplined and then play when we had the ball.

If we get to March, April and we are in that position [second], then it will be nice, but there is a long way to go.

We are missing some key players. Top-class international players but two 19-year-olds in the back line were superb tonight.

  11. 'Vardy is getting better and wiser'published at 22:14 Greenwich Mean Time 2 November 2020

    FT: Leeds 1-4 Leicester

    Jermaine Beckford
Ex-Leeds Utd striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

Jamie Vardy has got better with age, he doesn't waste energy running into the corner flags. He runs into the 18-yard-box. He's still very sharp, he's got loads of energy, he doesn't give the defenders a second's rest.

It's easy as a centre forward to drift in and out of games, running into channels and trying to help everyone else but the way he moves around, he just doesn't stand still.

He's getting even better and even wiser.

  12. Postpublished at 22:12 Greenwich Mean Time 2 November 2020

    FT: Leeds 1-4 Leicester

Brendan Rodgers is speaking to Sky Sports and says his side were 'tactically brilliant'.

He tells former Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino, who is listening in the studio: "Mauricio's holiday is over. He needs to get back to work!"

    Nice.

  13. 'We defended poorly'published at 22:09 Greenwich Mean Time 2 November 2020

    FT: Leeds 1-4 Leicester

    Leeds United

Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa talking to BBC Sport:

In the first 30 minutes we defended poorly and after we didn't create enough danger. That is one of the main responsibilities of the manager.

I am not taking the blame, just stating the players were not correctly distributed. The players are disappointed. Every game is an opportunity to recover, especially after a defeat.

  14. Postpublished at 22:07 Greenwich Mean Time 2 November 2020

    Leicester City

Leicester City have made their joint best-ever start to a top-flight campaign (after seven games), matching their tally from 2000-01 (15 points).

  15. 'A great goalscorer and a great team player'published at 22:05 Greenwich Mean Time 2 November 2020

    FT: Leeds 1-4 Leicester

    Leicester City

Leicester's Harvey Barnes talking to BBC Sport:

An early goal was massive for us. Jamie Vardy has shown he is a great goal scorer and a great team player. We are confident, we go into games thinking we can get three points.

We have started very well and have got a very strong squad.

RE ReindeerHotdog [21:53] - Is Vardy's 'one trick' being an all round quality footballer? Fair enough but it's a pretty good trick

    Jordan

That one trick being a searing turn of pace, fantastic movement and deadly finishing? Yep, how defences haven't sorted that out is baffling.

  17. 'Leicester too much for Leeds'published at 22:01 Greenwich Mean Time 2 November 2020

    FT: Leeds 1-4 Leicester

    Chris Sutton
Former Premier League striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

That was a Jamie Vardy masterclass, he led the line superbly. Leicester sat deep, countered, James Maddison made a huge difference in the second half when he came on and the third goal was devastating, it was such a slick move. It was too much for Leeds after that. Leeds will ultimately be alright this season, they are too good to go down. But it was a really good game of football.

  18. Postpublished at 21:59 Greenwich Mean Time 2 November 2020

    FT: Leeds 1-4 Leicester

Five successive away wins for Leicester in the Premier League and Europa League this season. That's decent.

Their next away game? Liverpool on 21 November. Brendan will relish that.

  19. 'Leeds have been out-smarted'published at 21:57 Greenwich Mean Time 2 November 2020

    FT: Leeds 1-4 Leicester

    Chris Sutton
Former Premier League striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

It's not been Patrick Bamford's night or Leeds' night. They've given it a go, though, as they always do. They've played front-foot football but in the end they have been out-thought and out-smarted.

  20. Postpublished at 21:55 Greenwich Mean Time 2 November 2020

    FT: Leeds 1-4 Leicester

Brendan Rodgers is on the pitch congratulating each and every one of his players. He looks absolutely thrilled. And so he should be. That was a terrific performance.
