  1. SUBSTITUTION

    Austria 1-1 Northern Ireland

NI bring on two of the old guard for youngsters.

Steven Davis and Craig Cathcart replace Daniel Ballard and debutant Ali McCann.

  2. GOAL - Austria 1-1 Northern Ireland

    Louis Schaub

Austria are level - although this one should be disallowed for offside.

Stefan Lainer lifts a cross into the box which Adrian Grbic deflects on with his back. Two defenders fail to clear it and substitute Louis Schaub smashes home with an acrobatic volley.

He was offside but the officials didn't see.

  3. Post update

    No...

  4. Post update

    Austria 0-1 Northern Ireland

Ten minutes to go. Can NI see this out?

  5. Post update

    Austria 0-1 Northern Ireland

Josh Magennis even looked over to the linesman before shooting for that goal. A very unusual goal. Shocking defending by the Austrians.

  6. SUBSTITUTION

    Austria 0-1 Northern Ireland

Austria make a double change. Louis Schaub and Adrian Grbic replace Julian Baumgartlinger and Andreas Ulmer.

  7. Post update

    Austria 0-1 Northern Ireland

As things stand a Northern Ireland win against Romania on Wednesday would see them avoid relegtion.

  8. GOAL - Austria 0-1 Northern Ireland

    Josh Magennis

    Scenes!

Austria think Josh Magennis is offside, but he's not - and he scores.

It's a good passing move by Northern Ireland and Gavin Whyte picks out Paddy McNair, who plays a first-time pass to Magennis.

To the naked eye he looks offside, but Andreas Ulmer is actually keeping him on. Three Austrian defenders look to the officials while Magennis smashes the ball past the keeper.

Josh Magennis scores for Northern Ireland
  9. Post update

    Austria 0-0 Northern Ireland

NI have weathered that storm a bit. Josh Magennis and Gavin Whyte have seen a bit of the ball up front.

  10. Post update

    Austria 0-0 Northern Ireland

Austria are starting to ask a lot more questions now. Stuart Dallas heads behind for another home corner.

  11. Fresh legs to keep pressing up front for NI

    Austria 0-0 Northern Ireland

    Mark Sterling

    BBC Sport NI

Conor Washington and Liam Boyce have put a great shift in for Northern Ireland and, with 62 minutes gone, they can clock off for the night.

Manager Ian Baraclough is keeping the shape, though, as he sends on Josh Magennis and Gavin Whyte to replace them up front.

It's a positive move from Baraclough, who is obviously happy that a front two is working well and occupying the Austrian defence.

Northern Ireland have continued their good work from the first half, but the back three will need to stay alert with the enigmatic Marko Arnautovic now on for the hosts.

  12. Post update

    Austria 0-0 Northern Ireland

It is a first save for Michael McGovern now as he's suddenly become a lot busier.

David Alaba's corner finds captain Julian Baumgartlinger, whose header is stopped by McGovern.

  13. Post update

    Austria 0-0 Northern Ireland

Michael McGovern catches a David Alaba cross, which I think might be the first time he's had to do that today.

  14. Post update

    Austria 0-0 Northern Ireland

Northern Ireland keeper Michael McGovern hasn't actually had to make a save yet. Although he has attempted more passes (20) than any of his team-mates.

  15. Post update

    Austria 0-0 Northern Ireland

Scare for NI. Reinhold Ranftl gets a good head onto David Alaba's cross and it's a decent stop by the NI keeper. The flag goes up for offside, it wouldn't have counted.

  16. SUBSTITUTION

    Austria 0-0 Northern Ireland

Both sides make changes. Josh Magennis and Gavin Whyte replace front two Conor Washington and Liam Boyce for Northern Ireland.

Marko Arnautovic, who only arrived in Austria from China yesterday, replaces Michael Gregoritsch.

  17. Post update

    Austria 0-0 Northern Ireland

Bit fortunate for NI. They think Stuart Dallas has been fouled so stop playing for a second. Michael Gregoritsch tries to take advantage but his cross is blocked.

  18. Post update

    Austria 0-0 Northern Ireland

NI are defending well against several Austria attacks and crosses.

    Austria's David Alaba
  19. Post update

    Austria 0-0 Northern Ireland

Crunch. NI debutant Ali McCann brings down Martin Hinteregger for a free-kick.

  20. Post update

    Austria 0-0 Northern Ireland

There have been a few clashes of heads tonight - this time Paddy McNair and Martin Hinteregger need treatment.
