  1. YELLOW CARD Laxalt (Celtic)published at 27mins

    Celtic 2-0 Aberdeen

Celtic left-back Diego Laxalt is the first player into referee Don Robertson's book with a late challenge on Lewis Ferguson.

Other than that, it's all going Celtic's way at the moment.

  2. Postpublished at 27mins

    Celtic 2-0 Aberdeen

Celtic have not lost a game in which they have scored first in nearly two years. Lille came back from two behind to draw 2-2 in the Europa League on Thursday though.

Do you give Aberdeen any chance of doing so? Thumbs up for yes, thumbs down for no.

  3. Could Considine do better?published at 14:57 Greenwich Mean Time 1 November 2020

    Celtic 2-0 Aberdeen

    Pat Bonner
Former Celtic goalkeeper on BBC Sportsound

    Quote Message

I don't think Joe Lewis could have done anything about it. Maybe Considine could have fought a little bit harder at the back post and gone with his head

  4. GOAL! Celtic 2-0 Aberdeenpublished at 22mins

    Mohamed Elyounoussi

    Game over already?

An excellent cross from Tom Rogic beats the fingertips of goalkeeper Joe Lewis and Mohamed Elyounoussi shows more commitment than Andrew Considine at the back post to fire into the roof of the net from close range.

What a strike. The space opens up, he comes in on that left foot. We've seen him do it before. Joe Lewis has no chance

  6. GOAL! Celtic 1-0 Aberdeenpublished at 17mins

    Ryan Christie

Just when Aberdeen looked to be keeping Celtic at arm's length, up pops one of their own former favourites to stick the dagger into their Scottish Cup hopes.

Ryan Christie collects the ball wide on the right and cuts inside on to his favourite left foot and curls a trademark drive into the far corner.

Great strike, but the Scotland midfielder should have been closed down sooner.

  7. Hedges 'should shoot first time'published at 14:47 Greenwich Mean Time 1 November 2020

    Celtic 0-0 Aberdeen

    Willie Miller
Former Scotland defender on BBC Sportsound

    Quote Message

It wasn't the best first touch from Hedges. Bitton did really well getting back, but his first touch has to be better

  8. Postpublished at 13mins

    Celtic 0-0 Aberdeen

Bit more pressure from Aberdeen. Ryan Hedges has a sight of goal, but he delays his shot and it's deflected wide.

From the corner, Matty Kennedy's dangerous cross is flicked on at the front post by Ash Taylor, but the header is wide of the far post.

  9. Big chance for Edouardpublished at 14:42 Greenwich Mean Time 1 November 2020

    Celtic 0-0 Aberdeen

    Pat Bonner
Former Celtic goalkeeper on BBC Sportsound

    Quote Message

Is that a good save or a bad miss? You would have put your house on Edouard scoring there. Joe Lewis has come to Aberdeen's rescue

  10. Postpublished at 9mins

    Celtic 0-0 Aberdeen

Jeremie Frimpong has been done a couple of times by Matty Kennedy already, but the Celtic right-back returns the favour and sends a dangerous cross whipping across the face of goal but without finding a team-mate.

  11. GREAT SAVE!published at 7mins

    Celtic 0-0 Aberdeen

Maybe a bit of ring rust for Sam Cosgrove at end - and maybe the same at the other for Odsonne Edouard.

The French striker, who has returned from a bout of Covid-19, has two bites the cherry after a clever flick from Ryan Christie. However, the first is blocked by Joe Lewis and the goalkeeper recovers to save the shot on the rebound.

  12. Postpublished at 5mins

    Celtic 0-0 Aberdeen

Another good run and cross from Matty Kennedy - and again it finds the head of Sam Cosgrove.

However, the striker's header from a difficult angle is deflected wide for a corner that Celtic clear.

  13. Postpublished at 3mins

    Celtic 0-0 Aberdeen

It's Celtic's turn to threaten, but Aberdeen clear the danger as the Glasgow side ping the ball about inside their penalty area.

  14. Postpublished at 1min

    Celtic 0-0 Aberdeen

Aberdeen start promisingly with Matty Kennedy sending in a cross that is met by the head of Sam Cosgrove - two players back in the side combining there.

However, the ball skims wide off the big striker's forehead despite the Englishman stealing between two defenders.

  15. KICK-OFFpublished at 14:32 Greenwich Mean Time 1 November 2020

    Under way at Hampden...

Are Celtic on their way to final to keep alive their hopes of an unprecedented fourth consecutive Scottish Cup win? Or will Aberdeen stay on course to lift it for the first time in 30 years?

  16. Here we go...published at 14:30 Greenwich Mean Time 1 November 2020

    Celtic v Aberdeen (14:30)

Here come the players into a sodden - and empty - Hampden.

Hearts await the winners in the 20 December final.

  17. What's at stake?published at 14:28 Greenwich Mean Time 1 November 2020

    Celtic v Aberdeen (14:30)

Having completed a historic treble treble of domestic trophies, Celtic can go one better should they lift the Scottish Cup for the 40th time.

Four is also the number of times Aberdeen have reached this stage in succession without ending their own 30-year wait to lift the cup for the eighth time.

To reach their first final since 2017, they will have to go one better than last Sunday's 3-3 draw in the league and end Celtic's 10-game unbeaten run against them.

Indeed, the Dons have suffered seven semi-final or final defeats by the Glasgow side in a row since Eoin Jess secured a 1-0 League Cup semi-final win back in September 1992.

  18. How did Celtic get here?published at 14:27 Greenwich Mean Time 1 November 2020

    Celtic v Aberdeen (14:30)

It was like an old-style Glasgow Cup in the early rounds for Neil Lennon's cup holders.

First, they eased aside Championship hosts Partick Thistle 2-1 then doused League One side Clyde's hopes of repeating upset of 13 years earlier with a 3-0 success in Cumbernauld.

Quarter-final hosts St Johnstone proved more stubborn until Ryan Christie's late free-kick in Perth secured a 34th consecutive domestic cup win.

  20. Another treble would be 'quite a feat'published at 14:26 Greenwich Mean Time 1 November 2020

    Celtic v Aberdeen (14:30)

Celtic manager Neil Lennon says Odsonne Edouard's return is "psychologically a big lift" for Celtic.

He also tells BBC Sportsound that Kristoffer Ajer's injury is not as bad as first feared and the defender should return next week, although he misses out today.

"We've got to keep our focus, this one has slipped under the radar a little bit, but we feel it's unfinished business here and do do another treble would be quite a feat," he says. "After a brilliant performance on Thursday, we're hoping for more of the same.

"We have to turn the good performances into wins."
