Shock back on the cards at Scunthorpe!

Solihull have some big men to threaten at set-pieces and one of them, Krystian Pearce, climbs highest to meet a return ball in, after a free-kick was half cleared, and loops a fantastic header over Iron keeper Mark Howard.

  2. goal

    Aaron Nemane (18 mins)

A lovely finish to the keeper's right. Another shock could be coming up.

GOAL - Havant & Waterlooville 1-0 Cray Valleypublished at 13:08 Greenwich Mean Time 8 November 2020

    Bedsente Gomis (18 mins)

Early heartbreak for eighth-tier Cray Valley Paper Mills.

The Valley keeper is caught out by a quality cross from George McLennan and Bedsente Gomis has virtually an empty net to head into.

  5. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 13:07 Greenwich Mean Time 8 November 2020

    Torquay 0-0 Crawley

The crossbar denies League Two Crawley.

Forward Ashley Nadesan pounces on a loose ball, volleying an effort against the woodwork.

    Let off.

  6. Get involved - #bbcfacuppublished at 13:04 Greenwich Mean Time 8 November 2020

Havant & Waterlooville 0-0 Cray Valley Paper Mills

Jared Hull: This Havant team is like watching Sutton’s 2016-17 team. Probably because of the six ex-Sutton players in the starting line-up and ex manager and assistant manager.

Can Havant go on the same sort of run boss Paul Doswell's Sutton went on a few years back? Eighth-tier Cray Valley are holding them so far.

  7. CLOSE!published at 13:04 Greenwich Mean Time 8 November 2020

    Maldon & Tiptree 0-0 Morecambe

First real chance in Essex and it goes to the non-leaguers.

Sam Coombes does well to set up Shomari Barnwell who fires in a shot which Morecambe keeper Jake Turner does well to save with his legs.

  8. CLOSE!published at 13:00 Greenwich Mean Time 8 November 2020

    Torquay 0-0 Crawley

National League Torquay United should be in front!

Daniel Wright races through on goal but can only fire his effort wide. Should be putting that one away.

  9. goal

GOAL - Barnet 1-0 Burton Albionpublished at 12:59 Greenwich Mean Time 8 November 2020

    Wesley Fonguck (10 mins)

This must be the umpteenth non-league team to go in front early this weekend.

And what a goal it is, Michael Petrasso shows some neat footwork to pick out Wesley Fonguck, who still has plenty to do 20 yards out but he digs out a superb finish to find the top corner.

More problems for League One strugglers Burton.

  10. YELLOW CARDpublished at 12:57 Greenwich Mean Time 8 November 2020

    Wigan 0-0 Chorley

You don't see this very often, a non-league player has just been booked for diving.

Chorley's Connor Hall goes down in the box and referee Martin Coy shows him a yellow.

    Correct decision too.

GOAL Hampton & Richmond 0-1 Oldhampublished at 12:55 Greenwich Mean Time 8 November 2020

    Ben Garrity (6 mins)

Shock-proof Oldham are at it again.

As we mentioned prior to kick-off, the Latics have not lost a first-round tie against a non-league team since 1972.

Ben Garrity has put them in front early at National League South side Hampton & Richmond, slotting home Bobby Grant's low cross from six yards.

  12. CLOSE!published at 12:53 Greenwich Mean Time 8 November 2020

    Eastleigh 0-0 MK Dons

Louis Thompson fires in the first effort of note for Milton Keynes at Eastleigh but it finds only the side netting.

  13. Postpublished at 12:52 Greenwich Mean Time 8 November 2020

    Hayes & Yeading 0-0 Carlisle

Carlisle are already creating a couple of openings against Hayes & Yeading.

They force an early corner but the delivery is straight into the gloves of the keeper.

Not much to report in our other games so far.

  14. HALF-TIMEpublished at 12:49 Greenwich Mean Time 8 November 2020

    Scunthorpe United 1-1 Solihull Moors

An intriguing first half comes to an end in North Lincolnshire.

Stephen Gleeson's early penalty put National League visitors Solihull ahead but John McAtee's cross evaded everyone to bring the Iron level.

All to play for in this one and Solihull still have the chance to add their name to the list of six non-league sides who beat league opposition on Saturday.

  17. School of thought: Chorley's boss - who's also a head teacherpublished at 12:43 Greenwich Mean Time 8 November 2020

    Wigan v Chorley (12:45 GMT)

    Jamie VermiglioImage source, Rex Features

Jamie Vermiglio told BBC One's Football Focus:

"I’m the head teacher, I’m really proud of it, it brings a massive amount of responsibility.

"It is difficult (to balance my work with managing Chorley), it’s more the time management, trying to find the extra hours a day. If I do grab an extra hour it usually comes out of my sleep.

"The kids are the easier to deal with. I say sit up straight and they sit up straight, I tell the players to turn up to training on time and they’re 20 minutes late.

"There’s a little lad at the school, who’s just signed for Wigan. But he’s told me he’s fully behind Chorley. If he wasn’t I’d have given him extra homework.

"And my little boy supports Wigan. But this weekend, he’s 100% Chorley."

  18. Postpublished at 12:42 Greenwich Mean Time 8 November 2020

    Scunthorpe United 1-1 Solihull Moors

Solihull will be keen to hear the half-time whistle here.

Their League Two hosts are pressing.

  19. The Havants and the have-notspublished at 12:41 Greenwich Mean Time 8 November 2020

Havant & Waterlooville v Cray Valley Paper Mills (12:45 GMT)

Ah, just look at those names. This is what the FA Cup first round is all about, isn't it?

Cray Valley Paper Mills - apparently so named due to the bountifulness of paper manufacturing firms in the Eltham region when they were formed in the 1920s - are bidding to make it two eighth-tier teams in the second-round hat after Marine stunned League Two side Colchester on Saturday.

This is the Isthiman League South East side's first appearance in the FA Cup first round proper and they have won five games to get here.

They will bid to emulate the cup pedigree of National League South hosts Havant, who beat Swansea on their way to the fourth round in 2008 where they famously led 2-1 against Liverpool at Anfield before losing 5-2.

    Maldon & Tiptree v Morecambe (12:45 GMT)

Maldon & Tiptree score against Leyton OrientImage source, Rex Features

Maldon & Tiptree appeared in the FA Cup last campaign, eliminating Leyton Orient in the first round before going out against Newport County in the second.

The Isthmian League North Division side sense an upset in Essex. Morecambe have been eliminated in the FA Cup first round in six of the previous seven seasons.

In fact, since joining the Football League, Morecambe have faced non-league teams three times in the FA Cup, going out twice, most recently in 2018-19 against Halifax Town.

Can the part-times make it three?
