Well, we're all off for a lie down. That was quite an eventful few hours.

The magic of the FA Cup might not quite be the same without fans present but it's still alive and kicking nonetheless.

Comebacks from Crawley, Chorley and Carlisle, plus shocks from Solihull and Barnet have certainly proven that on a memorable Remembrance Sunday.

Bring on the second round in three weeks' time - but before then, join us on Monday evening for the final first-round tie as Oxford City host Northampton. Could we have yet another shock? We'll see.

  2. Don't forget - second round drawpublished at 16:43 Greenwich Mean Time 8 November 2020

We'll have the second round draw for you live on BBC Two at 19:00 GMT tomorrow night.

Marine, Chorley and Havant & Waterlooville will be among the names in the hat.

The second round can't be any crazier than the first one has, right?

But arguably the most drama on Sunday was reserved for the games where Football League teams - somehow - avoided shocks.

It looked for all the world like Crawley Town and Carlisle United would join the likes of Burton, Wigan, Scunthorpe, Southend, Colchester, Grimsby, Port Vale, Rochdale and Swindon on the scrapheap of surprises.

But Carlisle came from 2-0 down with just a couple of minutes of extra time remaining to beat Hayes and Yeading on penalties.

And, in the craziest match most of us have ever witnessed, Crawley - with an emergency third choice keeper - came from 2-0 down in normal time and 5-3 down in extra time to win 6-5 at National League side Torquay.

    Unforgettable.

Six league sides were dumped out of the cup by non-league outfits on Saturday - and three more have followed today.

The chief upset came at the DW Stadium where 2013 winners Wigan, now languishing at the foot of League One, spurned a 2-0 lead to lose to Chorley.

Adam Long's dismissal for a professional foul on Harry Cardwell proved the turning point as minnows Chorley - bottom of the National League North - stormed back to triumph 3-2 through Connor Hall's extra-time winner.

Elsewhere, another League One side came a cropper as 10-man Barnet held on to beat Burton Albion, while a pair of Stephen Gleeson penalties helped Solihull Moors stun League Two strugglers Scunthorpe 3-2.

  9. FULL-TIME - Eastbourne 0-3 Blackpoolpublished at 16:24 Greenwich Mean Time 8 November 2020

Professional performance from the League One side.

And that'll end what's been an incredible day of cup football. Let's have a quick reminder...

  10. goal

    Jerry Yates (90+1 mins)

    That settles it.

A clinical second half is finished off superbly for Blackpool as Jerry Yates nets from a tight angle.

Four minutes added on. We've seen unlikelier comebacks today.

Blackpool's Sullay Kaikai sees an effort well-saved.

Into the 89th minute now. Here's a look at Gary Madine's double that look to be enough for Blackpool.

Speaking of that game, here are the three Crawley goals that turned a 5-3 extra-time deficit into a 6-5 win.

    Remarkable.

  15. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:14 Greenwich Mean Time 8 November 2020

No hat-trick for Gary Madine today. He's replaced by Bez Lubula.

    He wasn't best pleased.

    Eastbourne 0-2 Blackpool

All Eastbourne at the moment. Again it's youngster Charley Kendall asking questions as his shot is well-blocked by a wall of Blackpool defenders.

Moments later a James Vaughan cross evades Eastbourne's strikers in the middle.

    Ten to go.

Eli: FA Cup magic from Crawley. Love my club and the spirit we showed. We must make sure non-league and lower league clubs get the support they need through the pandemic so fans can enjoy more special moments like this for many years to come.

Steve Marshall: The Torquay vs Crawley game looks like absolute madness. When was the last time injury time goals (90+18 (108)) & (90+22 (111)) technically came AFTER an Extra Time goal (105+2 (107))?

  18. CLOSE!published at 16:07 Greenwich Mean Time 8 November 2020

    Eastbourne 0-2 Blackpool

Eastbourne sub Charley Kendall beats the offside trap and sprints towards goal.

He cuts back inside before curling one narrowly wide.

The National League South side are getting closer. Their play certainly deserves a goal.

  20. Watch: How Chorley beat League One Wiganpublished at 16:02 Greenwich Mean Time 8 November 2020

    Wigan 2-3 Chorley

It's worth remembering that National League North side Chorley were 2-0 down at 2013 FA Cup winners Wigan at half-time.

They won 3-2 after extra time thanks to this lovely goal from Connor Hall.

The flick to set the winner up is exquisite.

What a result for Chorley - and what a day in general. Breathless.
