    FT: Hibernian 1-1 Dundee United

Dundee United manager Micky Mellon tells BBC Sportsound: "I'm delighted that the boys have got a deserved point.

"I thought we played with the hand break a wee bit. We were a wee bit passive. As the game progressed, we got more into it. We wanted to do a wee bit more.

"The second half, we always knew with two wide men that if needed we could introduce to the game and have a different threat. The two boys have come on and done really, really well.

"Benjamin Siegrist is a top drawer goalkeeper. He's made some terrific saves."

  7. 'Angriest' Ross has been with Hibs squadpublished at 17:32 Greenwich Mean Time 19 December 2020

    FT: Hibernian 1-1 Dundee United

Hibernian head coach Jack Ross tells BBC Sportsound: "We should win the game because of the amount of opportunities we created throughout the whole game and then we're ahead with a couple minutes of injury time to go so we should win the game but we don't.

"Undoubtedly that's two points dropped for us.

"The second half we missed opportunities that we should score. It gives Dundee United encouragement.

"It's a really frustrating afternoon for us. It's probably the angriest I've been with the players in terms of us making sure we get our rewards because we did more than enough to win the game."

  8. 'It's a bit raw' - Kettlewell after sackingpublished at 17:30 Greenwich Mean Time 19 December 2020

    FT: Ross County 0-2 Hamilton

Here is how Stuart Kettlewell announced he had been sacked as Ross County manager just moments after his side lost 2-0 to Hamilton.

Speaking to BBC Scotland's Eilidh Davies, he said: "I'll always try and front everything up. I've now been relieved of my duties as the manager. From my point of view it's obviously gut wrenching. I want to do well for the football club a lot of people associate me with. I just want to front that one up and say that's the situation just now.

"I'll need to go and speak to the players, speak to the staff and all the people who have been behind me.

"It's obviously a bit raw now. I'll take it on the chin as I always do and put myself out there and take responsibility for what's not been good enough, and it hasn't been good enough. We find ourselves at the bottom of the league.

"Hopefully whoever comes in, whoever gets that responsibility, can pick the players up and start finding results and watch the football club move up the table."

  9. Postpublished at 17:26 Greenwich Mean Time 19 December 2020

FT: Ross County 0-2 Hamilton Academical

Hamilton Academical manager Brian Rice described his side's performance against Ross County as "a typical Hamilton performance".

He told BBC Scotland: "They were outstanding. We've picked up another one or two injuries but the kids have come on and given us energy and life. We had a blip last week against Hibs (0-4), but that's now two clean sheets in three games.

"We've been in the position Ross County are in and it'll galvanise them, it galvanised us. But my aim now is to catch the team above us."

Stuart Kettlewell has just told BBC Scotland's Eilidh Davies that he has been "relieved of his duties" at the Dingwall club after their defeat to Hamilton Academical this afternoon. County have just confirmed in the last few minutes. Quite extraordinary that a manager comes and does his post-match press conference after receiving such news.

County are currently bottom of the Premiership, four points adrift.

    St Mirren 3-2 St Johnstone

St Mirren stretched their unbeaten run to nine games, after coming from behind to beat 10-man St Johnstone.

Stevie May's penalty was cancelled out by Ethan Erhahon's half-volley, which drew the home side level.

Scott Tanser's strike put the visitors ahead once more, before their defender Jason Kerr was shown a red card for a wild challenge on Ilkay Durmus.

The hosts made the most of their numerical advantage, with Lee Erwin and Jonathan Obika headers sealing the win.

St Mirren move up to eighth in the Scottish Premiership with the win, while St Johnstone move down to 10th.

    Rangers 3-1 Motherwell

Steven Gerrard may look back on the afternoon of 19 December as being a crucial day in his side's quest for the Scottish Premiership title.

With 20 minutes to go, they looked out of ideas and were running out of time. An early Callum Lang goal giving a dogged Motherwell something to defend, and boy, did they do just that.

But then, the breakthrough. Two goals from Kemar Roofe either side of a Cedric Itten effort turned this game on its head, and extended Rangers' advantage at the top of the table - albeit with three games played more - to 16 points.

    What a turnaround for Rangers.

    Hibernian 1-1 Dundee Utd

The very definition of snatch and grab from Dundee United as that late Luke Bolton strike cancelled out Kyle Magennis' opener for a 1-1 draw.

United did have their chances but it was far outweighed by Hibs' tally, with goalkeeper Benjamin Siegrist having an outstanding match in goal for the visitors.

    Ross County 0-2 Hamilton

Ross County are now four points adrift at the bottom of the Premiership.

They had 73% possession but despite starting with three strikers were poor in front of goal.

Hamilton had three shots on target, scoring with two of them through Ross Callachan and Scott Martin, while they defended doggedly at the back.
