The players are making their way back out at Rodney Parade.

This was the closest that Brighton came during the first half. It really was a superb save by Tom King to deny Andi Zeqiri.

Brighton have looked the most dangerous but Newport are managing to deal with it.

It'll be interesting how they change things tactically for the second half.

There was FA Cup history in Crosby as eighth-tier Marine hosted Tottenham. There were 160 places between the two in the football pyramid - the biggest in FA Cup history.

Marine hit the bar, and kept Jose Mourinho's side out for 24 minutes before Spurs eased their way to a comfortable victory.

Any chance of an upset at the Etihad was ended pretty abruptly as Bernardo Silva helped himself to two goals in the opening 15 minutes.

Phil Foden added a third before the break meaning Pep Guardiola could make a number of changes in the second half.

It was a lot more routine at Stamford Bridge as Chelsea eased past League Two Morecambe.

There were goals for Timo Werner, Kai Havertz, Callum Hudson-Odoi and birthday boy Mason Mount, while summer signing Hakim Ziyech was superb.

The story of the day game at Crawley where they swept past Leeds United in a devastating second-half display.

It was an emotional day for the opening goalscorer Nick Tsaroulla, who had been released by Spurs and involved in a big car accident.

Let's use half-time to rattle through some of the best moments from today's FA Cup action.

  8. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:32 Greenwich Mean Time 10 January 2021

    Newport 0-0 Brighton

The free-kick results in a bit of a scramble but Brighton eventually get it clear.

That's half-time. It's not been the best game, but there have been some good opportunities, particularly for Newport's Padraig Admond.

  9. INJURY TIMEpublished at 20:31 Greenwich Mean Time 10 January 2021

    Newport 0-0 Brighton

There will be a minimum of one minute added on at the end of the first half.

And Newport have a free-kick in the dangerous position on the left...

  10. A night for layer changespublished at 20:29 Greenwich Mean Time 10 January 2021

    Newport 0-0 Brighton

    Michael Pearlman
BBC Sport Wales at Rodney Parade

Not much to say about the game so far, but the decision of mine to wear two coats has been vindicated, you really can't be wearing too many layers tonight and I've seen lots of hats and gloves pulled out in the last few minutes.

    Rodney Parade is cold.

That was one heck of an opportunity.

Half an inch higher and it's in the back of the net.

    Newport 0-0 Brighton

This is only Jason Steele's third appearance of the season, after playing twice in the Carabao Cup.

He's understandably rusty, but that was very messy.

  13. CLOSE!published at 20:26 Greenwich Mean Time 10 January 2021

    Newport 0-0 Brighton

Lewis Dunk - that is superb defending!

Jason Steele makes an absolute mess of a clearance on the edge of his area, he just kicks it up in the air, and then heads it straight into Padraig Amond and goalbound effort is acrobatically cleared by Dunk about three or four yards out.

    What was Steele doing!?!

  14. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 20:24 Greenwich Mean Time 10 January 2021

    Newport 0-0 Brighton

Robbie Willmott is unable to continue for Newport after all and he's replaced by Joss Labadie.

Terry: Same old Brighton. Sideways and backwards passing. Playing round the edge of the box. Looks good but without causing any real problems for the opposition.

  16. GREAT SAVE!published at 20:21 Greenwich Mean Time 10 January 2021

    Newport 0-0 Brighton

    How are Brighton not ahead!?!

A corner in from the left is glanced onto Andi Zeqiri at the back post, and his acrobatic effort, is tipped over the bar by Tom King.

That's a superb save, because King's weight was going the wrong way so to get a good enough hand on that to flick it over the bar is superb.

Robbie Willmott wants his ankle looking at, but after a brief bit of treatment he looks ok to continue.

  18. Brighton finding gapspublished at 20:18 Greenwich Mean Time 10 January 2021

    Newport 0-0 Brighton

    Michael Pearlman
BBC Sport Wales at Rodney Parade

Brighton will be encouraged by the last couple of minutes.

Newport's possession is increasingly harmless and Brighton are starting to assert themselves higher up the field.

If you offered Newport 0-0 at half time now, I think they'd probably take it.

  19. CLOSE!published at 20:17 Greenwich Mean Time 10 January 2021

    Newport 0-0 Brighton

Brighton have clicked up a gear or two in the last five minutes.

A cross from the right isn't cleared properly and it falls for Alexis Mac Allister but his effort, from the edge of the area, is straight at Tom King.

The Argentine should do better there.

  20. GREAT SAVE!published at 30 mins

    Newport 0-0 Brighton

Better from Brighton as they work a crossing opportunity from the right but Ben White's cross is blocked behind for a corner.

Ohh - almost the opener from the resulting corner! A great ball is met by Lewis Dunk, about 10 yards out, and Tom King does well to get across and parry it behind for another corner. It was a good height, but that's a good save.
